This is one of the best designed phones that i have ever owned. As in it does what it needs to do perfectly to sell, then as soon as you can no longer return it because you don't like it, it starts doing little things just to bug you. Once you get used to it the text features become too slow, meaning it cant keep up with your typing, so it will lose half a word from time to time, and will delete half the word if you pause while typing for only a second. I am now needing to get a new phone, as the little things about it just start to drive you crazy after a while. The touch screen just isn't responsive enough, which leads to masses of problems. The web browser is slow to say the least. I once challenged a mate to find a page on a site, and he found the page before i even reached google. little things will break after a while. i needed to get a new battery after 3 months, as the contacts were from time to time losing contact, and the phone would randomly switch off. Then, after another month or so, the SIM card slot from time to time would break, claiming there was no SIM in, so i would have to turn off the phone, pop out the battery and remove the SIM. I presume the majority of these reviews were written pretty soon after the user received the phone so, in summary, it is a cheap introduction to touchscreen phones, though i would MASSIVELY reccomend that you pay a bit more for a better phone first time round, as you will indoubtabley need to buy a new phone after 6 months of this one.

This phone is terrible. The dictionary doesn't even contain basic vowel and consonant combinations such as ING or ED and it will not give in on the auto spell if you're trying to put in a word, it just locks up with the auto suggest word in place instead. Clearly it was not programmed with English in mind. It is impossible to use on the move as the screen does not show up well in daylight and the keys are too small. I text a lot whilst walking and on the bus a lot and it is a struggle to do this on the LG Cookie. Likewise it’s a struggle to get a number up to make a call whilst you are walking as the screen icons are so small. I tried enlarging them but al that happens is the text on the buttons gets bigger not the buttons themselves. The screen also unlocks a lot in my pocket. If you sit still all day in the dark and have narrow pointy fingers then this is the phone for you. If you have a busy life and need a dependable phone that you can use one handed whilst doing other things then think again.

I can actualy do whole lot of things with this fun-phone. I can browse internet after loading Opera Mini application on the phone. Instead there are lot of applications supported by this cell phone. My mobile banking aplication works fantastic on it. I can easily do money transactions on this phone. More over it has Data wallet (in built application) which stores my confidential information. Games are completely awesome some of them being motion sensing ones. Sound quality is lovely and Music player has inbuilt equalizer. I can create some fun videos with Images that I have captured and can playback music with it. I can also edit my video files and do a lot things like image capture, trim, combine videos and many other things. Moreover it can record my call conversations. Plus while typing messages , I can have a full fledge virtual QWERTY keypad by tilting it on its side. This phone is worth a buy. The best cell phone that I have got in My life.Cheers!

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. It's slow, it can't handle if you type too fast when you're texting and usually just deletes words that you've just typed out for no reason. The camera is terrible and the memory is abysmal. Also, it likes to unlock itself in my pocket and phone people, costing me more money. The touch screen is naff and sometimes likes to just do its own thing. This is the first LG phone I've ever owned and it's completely put me off them. Horrible horrible phone.

I can't really complain as I got one for a bargain price on a PAYG tarrif. However two things drive me up the wall, and one thing slightly niggles. 1) Whilst typing text messages the phone randomly decides the next character you press is to replace the existing characters, not to be added to them. I've tried to establish what prompts this, but it appears random. 2)The accelerometer is rather slow, and can require a number of repeated changes of position to pick up on the change. This might be a failing in the operating software rather thanthe accelerometer. Also annoying is that even if you write a text in landscape, you have to search for the contact to send it to in portrait without a qwerty keyboard. 3) No support for the phpneat all; I've had no luck finding any function software for this phone, except for a couple of offerings from google. But what can I say for £20.

I bought an LG Cookie at my last upgrade; this was 13 months ago and I so should have saved up for an iPhone, because that's what I really wanted! The Cookie was fun for about 10 minutes, but very soon I found myself ostracised by my friends for either calling them at 3am (the unlock function can be pressed by that rogue £1 coin in your pocket) or from a handy little glitch which means that when you're writing a text message to one person, and another comes in, the phone will send the one you started to the person who text you during your text - handy, except when you don't want that person to see what you've written. Oh, and did I mention that the display shows the name you meant to send it to until you open your sent items...?! Oh. And there are lots of issues with the screen freezing, software slowing things down, memory cards intermittently not working etc. All in all, if I'd got this on a 1 year contract and been able to upgrade prior to that, I guess I wouldnt have been too worried. However, on a 24 month contract, this is NOT the phone to buy! x

I have had this phone for about 3 weeks now, new on a upgrade with Orange, however there are problems like Yahoo & Hotmail cant be set-up on the phone, so i went to my local Orange shop and asked them they said it could be faulty,So i spoke to customer services for nearly 2 hours in store and still all they could do was say it was a faulty phone,Guess what they gave me another phone(LG KP501), and took it home installed and set-up everything and guess what the email still doesn't work, now i was told by Orange that hotmail doesn't allow emails on certain phones(rubbish),they told me that my email address has dots.in the name for ex: dawn.to.dusk@************** so i thought well never had this problem before on any other phone, and yet i have a yahoo email which has no dots in the email address except the usual (.co.uk)so why this aint working.Well i am off to the Orange store again and this time to be harsh with them as i need my phone for email ad text on the go in my job maybe they will give me a 3rd phone again to try...Apart from this the camera is ok although it could be better, no 3G network so internet very slow even accessing facebook, twitter very slow compared to my old phone Samsung. Also the operating system very slow to go from one screen to another.touch screen not sensitive enough. Very light phone so good, doesn't have the option to the save the last 3 people you text instead you have to search the person each time and send message that way.also and finally important to me and a few other i am sure if you get an annoying phone call from someone you can block the phone number if stored on your sim card or memory on phone, so when that person does try to ring he/she will not get through to you at all.i have this for an old mate who screwed me over, and he kept ringing me so i blocked his number and now my head is peaceful,on my old Samsung phone i can block it,however on here the LG KP501 you cant, only you can block all numbers in your contact list or unassigned numbers etc etc.The stylus pen is to small and my fingers cant hold it yet i now carry and use a pencil with me which is much better.overall i would rate this phone to be 4/10 as i have seen better and faster phones out there so looks like i am stuck with a rubbish phone for a while till my next upgrade.wouldn't recommend to anyone or at least if you do test it out first in store play with it,see if you like it.Thanks for reading if anyone else is having same problem please get back to me on email address at dawn.to.dusk@hotmail.co.uk

I have had this phone since Christmas, and I have started to doubt how good everyone is saying it is, the screen after the first day of me having it got a white mark on it that I think is damage, even though I was extra careful not to press it too hard, not to many months ago the end of the styles broke in to small pieces and now it is jammed in the phone and won’t come out and the tiny amount of memory it has is completely stupid, and the only way I can improve it is to get a memory card and the cheapest I could find was £10,on the other hand the phone is easy to use and has some interesting games and has a drawing panel so I can doodle, that is if I have enough memory to store it on. It has a very modern design that I like but it has started to look a bit old and decrepit after me not even having it for a year. Over all if you are looking for a simple phone for not much more then calling, texting and taking a small amount of images the then the LG Cookie is perfect but then again there is also the LG Pop that is cheaper and looks better.

Withink the last 2 months it has been freezing and it has been cutting out on people when i have been on the phone which has got really annoying now. The only time i would recomend this phone is if you are the sort of person who buys a new phone every year. Before it began to play up, it wwas a good phone and i was happy wioth it but i wouldnt recomend it as a long term phone.

At first the LG cookie was really amazing and great to use, the touch screen is great and still works perfectly even though it has been bashed a few times. One of the bad things is that over time it became really slow and if you are one of those people that love to take loads of pictures then it hasn't really got a big enough memory. Other than that it is a great phone and fun to use, it's quite small and handy but also really simple to use and understand.

i recieved my LG Cookie KP501 pink on christmas day, The phone wouldnt show my number so i couldnt ring up and get it going. Then a few weeks later my screen cracked over the slightest little bang, and throught them weeks it drained all my credit unlocking itsself in my pocket and phoning people up! I am yet to find a replacement screen and extremely upset that i have been having to use a old phone while my cookie is sitting in a draw. LG will not cover you for anything going wrong!! Useless!

I've had my LG KP500 Cookie for approximately 4 hours and it's terrible. I'm returning it first thing in the morning! I think rating it 1 star is too much of a compliment for this phone. It keeps switching on and off, and when it does turn on, a blue screen appears. It's also a little too slow for my liking. I bought this to replace my lost Samsung Tocco Lite and I think it's safe to say i'll be getting another Tocco instead of this sad excuse for a phone. Totally disappointed.

Got this phone for my birthday just over a year ago and thought it was great but after a while I began to realise that it was a very basic and simple phone. My sister also got a new phone around the same time as me - the Samsung Tocco Lite and although it was maybe just a bit more expensive it's a much better phone with more gadgets and has a lot of things the Cookie doesn't, such as a flash for the camera. So if you're looking for a simple, easy to use phone for not too much money i would recommend the Cookie but if you're looking for something a bit more fancy - go for the Tocco Lite.

i've had this phone for about a year... it does its job in the way of calling , but i would not recommend it. the qwerty keyboard will (if you press space in the right way) delete the previous word, the phone is complicated and annoying. and the lock is not sufficient, if i leave it lose in my bag, it tends to call people and waste my credit.

It starts off as a great phone, the camera isn't as bad as made out, lightweight touch screen, everything you need, although the more use, the sooner it slows down and starts freezing, as well as turning itself off, it's a good quick fix phone for a short amount of time, but i've had mine just over a year and it's been playing up for at least 5 months, i only brought it as a cheap quick phone as a replacement, and it works for that, but not for a long term mobile.

Basically, the LG COOKIE is a touch-screen phone for a good price. It looks lush and is in fashion. It has a decent camera, 3.0 mega pixels. It is also very good for volume. It comes in a variety of colours, pink, white, black, purple and more! It also has a handy stylus in the bottom right corner. The LG cookie has a very compact design. I dropped my LG cookie in the bath, dropped it and it still works! But, the LG COOKIE doesn't come without its problems. If you buy a memory card for your phone, the phone will not let you set wallpapers or widgets unless they're the default ones that come with the phone. You have to go to settings, phone setting, memory manager, external memory and press format. But be careful because when you press format, it will wipe off everything on your memory card. So you can put all your memory card pictures songs etc on a computer and put them back on again after wards. But obviously like any phone, there are bound to be problems but the LG Cookie despite its problems, overall is a good phone. =) I wouldn't reccomend it as a first phone but I'd say for between 11- any age really! 3 stars out of 5 i give the LG COOKIE (KP500) Hope this helps=)

I bought this phone last week and already it keeps turning off. The charger and the headphones use the same port so you can't listen to music while charging. It's a bit too light and also doesn't have flash, a good thing is the hidden stylus and the drawing panel.

I like this phone, once you use the calibration tool the touchscreen sensitivity and accuracy are great. Sending a text is simple, love the fact you get a full keyboard when you turn the phone sideways (landscape). Phone is OK, miss having a flash but what did I really expect for £50. The only negative is that when you are making a call the number lock comes on after a set time. Good if its a voicecall but not so good when you are having to select options - if there was an option to turn this off I'd like it. We have a pink one and a black one, with the black looking more classy, also prefer the buttons on this version (not sure if we have an older version in pink or if the buttons are normally different). A great phone for the money!

Fault on the music icon. Whenever clicked on, phone shutsm down and automaticaly turns itself back on straight after. I found that the music is too loud even on volume level 1. After about a week of owning this phone, it started to call random people off my contacts list. The cover chips and scratches very easily and the qwerty keyboard change is very slow and unaccurate. The text alert tone is far too quite so i have to check my phone every couple of minutes/hours. On the plus side, the widgets are quite handy nd the speed dial is very quick and easy to use. Overall, i am very unimpressed with this phone and i believe that LG should remodel it and improve on the 'build quality!' I don't recommed this phone to anyone but young children and first time mobile users. I hope this review has helped you to make the right decision before its too late. xXxXxX :)
