The only way to make it work again is to take the back of and the battery out and switch it back on... Nothing seems to work right on it apart from the camra, Its the best thing on the phone. Thats the about the only thing its good far. I'm going to sell it and bye a new phone i'v only had it about 4 month and i hate it. Reviewed by unknown on 09/02/2010 Just a warning to those who have this phone on contract, CANCEL. The phone battery is seriously awful, mine has got to the point where if won't even last half a day. It keeps freezing, turning itself off, rings people without you doing anything, the scroll function is a pain and even though the camera is 8 megapixel the pictures can often turn out blurred. I'd also never have a touchscreen phone after this, as the keypad is terrible. It does come with an 8 GB memory card but takes forever to load anything you put on it. I've also had problems with it deleting all my photos and music and also have had serious problems getting the PC suite to work. So overall I wouldn't even bother looking at this phone. Rating:

Reviewed by Mick on 03/02/2010 I Purchased the Renoir for the camera side of it, that works well although slow in response. The other features do not add up to expectations, The profiles section packed up after 11 months. I took it to the supplier and I am still waiting for the return after three months with the service agent, the back up is terrible. I would definitely not recommend this phone to anyone. The touch screen is very fickle and has a mind of its own sometimes. If any one wants to buy one mines up for sale. Rating:

Reviewed by Catherine on 25/01/2010 I loved this phone when I first got it. But now I really hate it. It's so hard to use the touch screen, unless you have nails. If I didn't have a long thumb nail I would not be able to use this phone at all. I don't even reply to texts anymore because it takes to long, and you don't get better with practise, the touch screen is just..stupid. The camara is meant to be good quality but my old phone with a 3.0mp camera taked better photographs, It is ok though. Like the last comment says, handsfree is terrible, it's so hard to put the phone on speaker or to turn hands free on etc... If you put a lot of music on like I do so I can play in on my car CD player you will notice the more music you have on the slower your whole phone goes, I hate ringing people on it to, when you scroll through your contacts you end up pressting someone elses name and ringing the wrong person. Its Krap!! Other than them points though it is a good phone. I like the way the main screen is with those few extra bits at the bottoms you can put on your screen? Apps are they called? Well on most touch screen phones I have seen they have them on the left side and you have to scroll up and down to see them, I dont like it :) Rating:

Reviewed by Andrew on 20/01/2010 I have been using this phone for over a year now. I posted a review ages ago. It really has been very good. I am on a 3 contract that I am happy with too. This is best phone I have had. It has some little design quirks but nothing that is not easy to work around or live with. Interestingly I went into Carphone Warehouse recently and asked what I should upgrade it too and they said it really was not worth upgrading at the moment and best to wait until Easter. I was well impressed at this refreshing honesty. Well dome Mr Sales Guy in Sheffield, may you go far. Rating:

Reviewed by Russell B on 12/01/2010 It looks like all the reviewer has done is to read the specification and features list, and then write about it. It seems that he or she hasn't even seen one, let alone used or played with one. Don't be fooled by 'Dolby Mobile', this is a complete con. It is nothing more than a bass boost and a treble cut feature, that when listened through good quality headphones, makes the quality of music sound pathetic, like an AM radio. It is purely there to give some 'meat' to the sound produced by the phone's own single speaker. The picture gallery and the music payer take forever to load. I don't know where the reviewer got the information from that the phone was fast and responsive, it most certainly is NOT! The touchscreen is, by a million miles, the absolute WORST feature of this phone I have ever had the displeasure to experience. The web browsing experience is slow and flaky in operation, with pages often not loading until you try again. This can happen on WiFi as well as via mobile network. The number of touchscreen presses needed to access any of the features makes this the most irritating piece of nonsense you would ever want to use. The KC910 has now been completely brushed under the carpet by LG as though it was an embarrassment to them that they ever released such a mess of a product. Notice how it became hurriedly overshadowed by the swift introduction of the Arena! The KC910 Renoir is now a dead duck. Pity really, because the camera is possibly the one redeeming feature of the phone, the picture quality being actually quite good. Sorry, I have to give it one star as this site does not let you give a zero star rating. Rating:

Reviewed by Mike Oxsaw on 10/01/2010 I've got to say that this must be the absolute worst piece of technology to be labelled a "mobile phone" (I should qualify this by adding that I've been in mobile phone operations all over the world since the days of analogue networks). Many have already covered the drawbacks and the few positives that the phone may possess can only really appeal to a 3 year old. Avoid. Rating:

Reviewed by Luke on 03/01/2010 A quite spectacularly awful phone. DO NOT BUY. Where do I begin? One of the reasons I bought this phone was because the Pixon - the phone I wanted - was withdrawn from the UK market so I ended up settling for second best, and what a mistake. The touch screen interface is extremely difficult to use and makes texting so labourious that I usually gave up and called the person. This wouldn't be a problem in itself except that the phone regularly dropped calls and, to add further insult, beeps loudly in your ear to warn you when it does. So, it's not much cop as a phone, perhaps it excels in other areas? Nope. The camera claims 8MP and Schneider Kreuznak (or something) optics but the start up time is very slow meaning you end up missing the thing you want to photograph. When you train it on a stationary object the photos it takes are of an acceptable quality as long as background light levels are high. Otherwise the shots are grainy, often blurred and colour resolution is poor. Using the flash does not help. Video is okay but suffers in the same way as taking photos if ambient light is low. Viewing photos you have taken is painful too - I timed it and it took over a minute to open the gallery. The web browser is not good either. I didn't have any problems accessing the internet but turning on wifi is slow and detection isn't automatic(??). Controls during browsing are completely alien. Scrolling is quite nice but zooming and scaling are just bizarre - if you press and hold the touch screen it zooms, sometimes by 40-45%, sometimes by 2% and it makes these rules up as it goes along. It doesn't optimise websites (even WAP and mobile sites) to the size of the screen so sometimes you have to scroll left and right to read text. The DivX movies are a nice touch but I defy anyone to convert many of these as it takes approximately an hour for one movie using the bundled software. Even if you do have the patience to do this (I did) the battery life is so short that you won't make it to the end of a movie before it needs to be charged. On the subject of charging, LG need to learn that people may want to charge the phone while they have headphones in (not possible as they use the same jack) and proprietary headphone sockets are not cool (there is a 3.5mm jack on the hands-free but why can this not plug straight into the phone?). This adds another layer of frustration when watching video because the on board speakers are terrible. Even at full volume they're barely audible. MP3 playback is good, if only on the bundled headphones, but I would have preferred a reasonable start-up time (again well over a minute) to the embarrassing animation they refer to as a 'visualisation'. The customisable home screen is nice but even this has its faults. You're limited to about 6 widgets (one of which is the clock which is next to useless as the time is permanently displayed in the top right corner) and apart from the calendar I didn't find one that worked well. I could go on - the bundled software is some of the worst I have used and made my computer crash, the phone software itself is not very stable and removing the battery and restarting became a frequent activity - but I will end with this: I 'upgraded' to this from my Nokia N95 and I am now back using an N95. This phone has shaken my confidence in LG phones and LG electronics generally and reinforced my belief that there are only 3 manufacturers worth bothering with - Nokia, Sony-Ericsson and, now, Apple. Seriously this is an abysmal phone phone best avoided. Rating:
Reviewed by Mr Jot on 01/01/2010 I received this phone as I had numerous problems with C905 although they were trivial matters. Firstly its a decent camera but if you are not used to a touchscreen then dont bother. Battery life isnt too bad but having to use the stylus does hack you off a bit. In a nutshell if I had the choice again of this and a C905 I would pick the C905. Reviewed by Liam on 14/12/2009 The worst phone in history, i had it for 2 weeks and loved it, but as soon as you put your photos and music on the phone, it takes atleast 5 minutes to load up, you need to have half a finger to use the touch screen the icons are so small, even on the highest setting you need the pen for every utility, an when you lose the pen, you will have to buy a new one, the speakers are ok, but do crackle badly, and it surely can't be a 8 mega pixel camera because the quality is awful. If you have any sense avoid this phone at all costs. Rating:

Reviewed by Chalochesu on 10/12/2009 I had this phone from the Orange shop about 8months ago, so 10 mths of contract left !!!! And I cannot wait. Only had Sony Erricsons before.....should have stuck to them. The Renoir is a brilliant Camera BUT a worthless phone. Many times I have nearly destroyed mine due to freezing or mysteriously reverting to Emergency calls Only for no reason and then 10 minutes later in the same spot it is fine. This is the best Camera on a fone I have had but as a phone the WORST. Back to SE next time. Rating:
Reviewed by Pete on 09/12/2009 not sure how this has such a good rating. In the 12 months I had this phone, I have had it replaced 3 times. Battery life is acceptable altho one of the reasons for one of the exchanges was erratic battery readings and the phone shutting off claiming battery was dead, only to be put on charge and claim it was full only 5 minutes later! Camera is excellent, *when it works* both of my first two phones suffered from getting stuck on the loading screen when trying to access the camera. This apparently is a common problem. Also it appears LG could not be bothered with the widgets, while competitors are making sure you can add extra things to your main screen and extra widgets, LG have no downloadable content at all. Java not being full screen is a big let down too, whats the point in a huge touch screen, if all the content for it has the silly panel taking up about a 5th of it with navigation arrows that are not needed. While this can be hacked and the apps made full screen, it doesnt solve the problem on apps that dont support the resolution. All in all, an awful phone and put me completely off LG. Rating:

Reviewed by Sam on 01/12/2009 Had this phone for 4 months now and absolutely love it....Sorry to start on a negative but ive got to defend a good phone from crticism it doesnt deserve. The negative comments are generally from people who want to have a high-tech phone but lack the capacity to use it. You can hardly blame the phone for not working how you want it when you dont know how to use it in the first place. The icons/buttons are a fair reasonable size and are perfectly fine for practical sensible use...unless you are visually impaired or have sausages for fingers (for which reason they have also supplied a stylus). Trashing the phone is hardly justifiable as a means of venting frustration at your own inability to use it. Having said that there is no perfect phone and there may well have been problems with some service providers or defects within certain models but this phone, generally, IS FANTASTIC. The user interface is great, the camera is brilliant, the media facilities are excellent, to name a few. And it is also durable as I have dropped my old iphone and smashed it but Ive also dropped this (not on purpose obviously) and its fine. It does have flaws too...the battery life would be 4/5 as it could be improved. The organiser on the phone is basic as the calendar cant really do much in terms of adding notes/reminders/birthdays/meetings. The camera settings are resetted every time you close it so its a bit of hassle changing them every time you decide to open the camera. The flash setting cant be set to flash every time, but when the phone sees fit. The manual shutter at the back of the phone isn't ideal as it can prove to be impractical. The organisation of the phones media such as the images for example in the gallery folder is poor. The range on the volume is limited as it doesn't go very quiet but not at all loud. These minor flaws are not outweighed by the positives, which are far more to name but the point of writing this view is that possible customers who are considering buying this phone can see the good and bad side of it and make their own balanced decision. No manufacturer/ salesperson is going to advertise the flaws and it is unfair for you to buy it not knowing what you're getting so hope you can see what you're in for as Im sure you'll see the shining positives from the sales reps anyway...and its not just hype ;) Rating:

Reviewed by Dave on 01/11/2009 I've had this phone for about three months now and I hate it. The software on the phone is some nasty LG java rubbish which has many minor but annoying glitches. The software provided for synchronising with a PC when I plug the phone in causes my machine to blue screen 70 - 80% of time. The key lock comes off way too easily when not in use so that it keeps making calls in my pocket. Scrolling through menus is difficult as the screen is not sensitive enough. Often there is an annoying lag between pressing a button and the phone actually doing something. I've had a lot of phones in my time and the LG Renoir is by far the worst. I would certainly NOT recommend it to anybody. Rating:

Reviewed by Shel on 17/08/2009 I’ve had this phone for nearly 9 months so have had a good chance to have a play around with al the features. As a touch screen phone it does take a little while to get used to, it does come with a stylus but I opted not to use it, it also comes with a screen cover already on and a replacement one should you decide to replace it…after about 2 weeks the first one started to bubble off so I thought right I will change the cover…ha that was interesting. Even though I used my glasses cloth to make sure there were no specs of dust it was ridiculous trying to get the thing stuck in place with no lumps or bumps so ended up jus not using it and found that the screen sensitivity did improve. For general menu functionality it is quite good once you practice a bit and you’ll find your way round which is the same with any new phone. My only niggle is that it comes with two themes and you can’t download anymore without hacking the phone and some shady software…so I opted for a no go with that. Memory wise it is expandable and you can get a good amount of music, pics and videos on there and still have loads left. Will say that I think by default it saves all music and pics to the handset memory which after a while can cause the phone to slow down but I rectified that by moving everything to the memory card. Making calls is easy enough, even though it is touchscreen you can navigate the menu while on a call which is always useful. One of the main things that attracted me to this phone, was at the time I bought it it was one of the phones with a high end camera and in all honesty I feel a little bit let down. I previously had a sony ericsson with a 5mp camera and thought this would be a step up in a good way…if you are into taking set pictures then this camera is very good, if you are into spur of the moment, not always goin to be in a well lit area with a steady hand etc then this phone struggles, in all honesty I preferred my old camera phone. I also found it very annoying that once you have changed the settings on the camera if you go out then go back into camera mode you will have to reset them all again as it doesn’t save. Oh and recording video…well it is now safe to say that I do not use this function anymore which is quite annoying! The sound is VERY tinny. I go to quite a lot of gigs and wow the sound is absolutely atrocious to the point that I had to mute the sound jus so I c ould watch the video without being deafened by some insane squeeling. Being aware that it is a touch screen phone it is obviously going to take up some battery…i will admit that I can be quite a heavy user of my mobile with a few calls and usually quite a lot of texts thoughout the day. 9 months into my contract I am faced with having to buy a new battery as my phone is constantly turning off. I can’t even get through a text sometimes without it jus going off without warning. Batteries only have a 6 month warranty period as they are considered to be consumable goods…well I have to say then that I am not impressed and if I had the money I would buy a different phone. My old sony ericsson faced the same amount of calls and texts and still could last up to 2 days without charging after being used for about 15 months. This one even at its peak needed to be charged every day and that is after I have turned on power save functions and turned down the brightness of the handset. Overall I would say it is a sleek phone with lots of features, if you are not too bothered about taking pics in all conditions it still works a treat, the only thing I would say to look out for is the battery life and consider how much you are going to use it! I end up taking the phone apart and removing the battery to reset it. Not great if I'm outside in the rain eh? O2 lost my handset when I sent it back for the third time, so are sending me a new one (would have preferred it if they hadn't bothered). I'll post a second review on that handset to say if I think it was just a problem with that handset, or an LG fault with more of them. Otherwise, the phone is easy to use, but slow on the internet. I cant get youtube to play. I like the camera, and liked how easy it hooked up with my mac. Ive not yet added music, as i dont think LGs like macs (the software updater program doesnt seem to be mac compatible) How do I feel about this phone? well lets just say I felt so much better when I sent it back and started using my 2 year old Sony Ericcson W880i. Reviewed by Dan on 17/06/2009 Having looked at a variety of phones to upgrade to from my SE C902, I eventually went with the Renoir. I had the Renoir for a week before I sent it back, however this was not because it's a bad phone, quite the contrary, however, I just couldn't get on with it. Being my first all touch-screen phone, I must say I was impressed with the Renoir. The user interface is smooth, the touch screen is responsive, and the battery life is not too bad considering the phone packed with so many features. The web browsing is good, and the camera is particularly excellent. I found texting with it simple, easy and didn't have any issues pressing the wrong keys as the display allows more than adequate space for realistically sized icons. However, even with all the features, it just wasn't what I was looking for in a phone. I can't really pinpoint what was not to like so I am grateful to o2 for having a 14-day no quibble returns policy on upgrades if you don't like the handset. One gripe is that there were more than a few occasions when it wouldn't receive messages* (*unsure if thats o2 or the phone though). The bottom line - a fantastic handset if you've had a touch screen phone or PDA before, and 100% a tough contender against the iPhone. Have a go on one in a shop before you buy the Renoir. I'm sure most will love this phone, I for one though just didn't. This is not to say its a bad phone and I must reiterate that the features are brilliant. Rating:

Originally I thought I was going to get the Black-Silver version of this phone which had the camera slider but when I got the phone it did not come with a camera slider at all and the phone's colour was totally black! I was worried incase I had the wrong phone but I read up that apparently LG have recently replaced the LG Renoir KC910 with the KC910i and all Renoir's sold from now on should be the KC910i model instead of the original KC910 model (just to clear some confusion!) I must say it is a very well built device for a touchscreen & I was a bit worried to start with because of the screen incase it breaks but from what I've heard these new LG's come with a re-inforced screen on these phones which means the are very hard to break but also durable for the touchscreen & fingers. I must admit though texting on the touchscreen will take some getting used to but I very much like the touchscreen pen that comes with the phone! All the usual features like the 8MP camera is spot on and the phone's speaker is very good too. The build of this phone is very solid and the phone itself feels very light too, much more lighter than my old Nokia 6300 & N95! I certainly do recommend this phone if you are after a Touchscreen one! Reviewed by mark on 01/06/2009 I have owned the KC910 Renoir for almost a week now the phone itself looks good and has a great 8mp camera. But the phone has many bad points. Its just not user friendly I think Lg launched this phone without testing it with the everyday user. Firstly the phone is pretty slow, it takes about 10 secs to load up pictures and movies. The touch type with qwerty keys is pointless the keys are small and when you type, it ends up displaying the wrong word ot letter (this can be very frustrating if you just want to sent a quick text). The sound quality is very poor (so much for dolby) when playing movies you can't even hear it. Also when you have it on loud speaker the sound quality is very distorted. You cannot hear the person cleary over the phone which means you have to constantly repeat yourself. When tilting the phone to a horizontal postion to watch a movie the phone has a 5 second delayed reaction time and sometimes doesn't work at all. The pictures do not scroll across from left to right properly when using the gallery feature. Also the phone locks automatically when on a call. There is also a great difficulty on updating themes on this phone. Take my advice don't get this phone! Rating:

Reviewed by Antony on 24/05/2009 I am on my second renoir, the first had an unresponsive screen and poor call quality the second is much better but far from perfect. Firstly as a media player it is average, for videos I have found it to be very good - although the way it sorts your videos and does not display the file names correctly is incredibly annoying. For music it is appalling, it takes an eternity to open the music player, if you close the media player it then takes the same ridiculous amount of time to open if you open it later. It will not remember that you used the shuffle function and starts from the same track everytime, whilst deleting a track results in the player shutting down and starting from the first track again, my K810i was 1000 times better as a music player. The camera on this is good, the flash is average and using the zoom function is very tricky but in honesty you may as well zoom in a paint package so this is isnt such a problem. getting software for this phone is very tricky and it is quite obvious that the phone is underpowered for the tasks required of it with regular slow downs, especially if you run a game - it just cannot cope. The touch screen doesnt actually work too badly and the inclusion of wifi is a god send - just make sure you set the internet profile to wifi otherwise it will automatically use your mobile downloads rather than wifi even if you connect to an access point! The in built browser isnt too bad although the touch screen isnt sensitive enough to click on links - you need tiny fingers to do it properly and the qwerty keyboard is far too small to be of any use, as has already been stated hotmail does not work properly on this phone. Overal if you intend to use this as a video player/camera as well as a phone it will do you just fine but if you want a music player/mobile internet phone definately look else where! Rating:

Reviewed by Dom on 14/05/2009 An important factor to take into consideration is also... only buy this if you are very comfortable with the changing trends of technology. Not a recommended buy if you are a technophobe - a button phone would be much more suited. Also, I've had no problems with the muffled speaking and the screen lock. Screen lock settings can be adjusted - just set the power-save option to off. Simple. Texting (and previous Samsung Phone Owners may agree) on this phone is bliss compared to the lengthy horrible texting of my old Samsung G800. The samsung sent texts horrificly slow, and you couldn't do anything on it until it had sent. LG sends messages in the background so you're not stuck there for ages while it sends. Also... NO FLIPPIN WONDER that the phone screen locks during a call, would you like it if your cheek kept randomly pressing end call or dial while on the phone? It is simple to quickly unlock it and type in the numbers on the keypad option. Easy. Great phone, don't listen to very many of the horribly bias reviews as they were no use to me. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. Rating:

If you have trouble with your fingers on the screen it also comes with a stylus, so there is no reason why you cannot use it properly. I find it easier to use that the samsung tocco and iphone as they only require your fingers to use, whereas the renoir has the benefit of a stylus for those with awkward fingers. 8 mega pixel camera is excellent and with a 8gb memory card i can put so much music on it, fab. it has great sound, and yes as with all these types of phones you do find yourself on a diffent screen occationally, but that is part of this type of phone, so stop moaning!! Reviewed by Dom on 13/05/2009 I KNOW THIS REVIEW IS LENGTHY BUT IT IS WORTH THE READ IF YOU'RE TORN BETWEEN THE RENOIR AND THE PIXON. I've had this phone for 4months now and no such problems have occured at all. (Except for one time it froze because I overloaded it with too many applications - which it does warn you about). The camera is fantastic - I personally find the camera interface very easy to use - LOADS easier than my friend's Samsung Pixon which is horrible. The picture quality is immense, and all the features work properly (Except Face Detection is slow, but I've only ever used this as a test when I first got it!) Texting is great, I find, although it can be a little frustrating when on the move, but this is expected off a touchscreen phone and there is no way of preventing it. Texting on the iPhone while on the move is hell. The scrolling is very good too (The iPhone's is probably better but this one exceeds all of it's competitors by a long shot). Screen Lock - you can change the length after which it locks so that isn't a problem. Making calls is dead easy too - just press phone-up for recent contacts or you can dial the start of someone's phone number and it'll recognise it. It does take you a while to get used to the touchscreen interface (as it would with all phones), so don't go putting it down after like, two weeks, because you need to get used to it first. I got used to it after about 3weeks and now I use it very easily. The games are a bit poo - nowhere near as good as the one's available on the iPhone or iTouch, but this is only games and I hardly ever go on them. Music is VERY good quality on the phone and the earphones are great - but if you don't like them you can plug in your own ones. Although the speaker isn't very loud, it's loud enough. Videos are oustanding too - fantastic range of options and the quality exceeds ALL opposition - even the iPhone as that doesn't even take videos. Note: This is predominantly a CAMERA phone, and that is what it is best at. Athough, it does deal with other media very well too. I love this phone, and I have always used my phone as a camera, and it does it's job very well. Let's compare it to it's main competitor - the Samsung Pixon. My closest friend owns a Samsung Pixon, and it is actually quite a nice phone. However, texting is a bit of a nightmare when trying to access extended punctuation and capitals / numbers. This is much easier on the Renoir. The QWERTY keyboard is very good however, as the buttons are bigger than on the Renoir. Making calls is easy, virtually the same as the Renoir. However, scrolling is a PAIN! On the Renoir, scrolling is fast, so skipping through contacts is easy. On the Pixon, it is very... very... very slow. You can literally only skip about 3-4 contacts at a time. You may get used to it, but I find it a nightmare. The camera is very good, and takes great photos, alike in quality to the Renoir. However, the camera interface is ugly and HORRIBLE to use because it takes ages to know what the buttons mean. Plus, it doesn't have as many features as the Renoir such as Beauty Shot, Touch Shot, Art Shot. When you take a photo it is annoying because it takes you straight to gallery... I don't know, however, if this is an option that can be changed. Renoir is much better at taking photos. Music - the Pixon's speaker is of high quality and a little tiny bit louder than the Renoir, however it can sound tinny. The music player isn't as user-friendly as the renoir though. The earphones are very good, similar to the Renoir's. Games are exactly the same as found on the Renoir, so there is no comparison in the quality of games. Besides, if you're looking for gaming, you're looking at the wrong phones. Also, (as far as I know) this phone doesn't have Wi-Fi, so browsing the internet is VERY VERY expensive from this phone. You can connect to many wifi access points on the Renoir however, making the internet on this phone easier, quicker and cheaper. The renoir also comes with an 8GB memory card which is HUGE - around 2,500 songs. The Pixon doesn't, however. Although, PC software on the samsung is good and easy to use, I couldn't get my head round the LG one (Possibly because I've only used it once for like 5mins lol). I just use Mass Storage connecting my phone and that's even simpler than both the PC Studios, so this isn't an issue. Please note, Mac doesn't support either phone's PC software. Widgets - the Renoir's widgets are easier to organize as you can scroll through them, however there aren't many of them. The Pixon has loads of great widgets but you're screwed if you want more than 3 on there and still want to see your background picture - they're HUGE !! Overall, when looking for a touchscreen mulitmedia phone, the Renoir is a good option. The touchscreen is easy to use and not overly sensitive unlike the iPHone. Consider the Pixon aswell, but personally, I think this is a better bet... But that all depends on your personal opinion. Note: this review is based on mostly opinion so read other reviews and try and get a go on the phone yourself before finally deciding. I hope that this has been useful! Rating:

Reviewed by Ian on 11/05/2009 Overall a nice handset; however there are a number of minor issues although not massive do add up and stop me awarding 5 stars. When you upload music no matter what you do the media software sorts all tracks alphabetically! I don’t want my tracks stored this way! The only way to sort this is by creating playlists in the order you want, trouble is there is a limit to the number of playlists you can have. The games!! Baseball and snakes and ladders OK but Flying Wheel WTF!! I do like the text option where you turn the phone on its side and get a full QWERTY keyboard, makes texting so much easier. They do provide screen protectors but these seriously affect the sensitivity of the touch screen and unfortunatly the media software they provide is difficult to install (don't know why) and not very good, the screen lock is a nightmare and you cannot increase the wait time. Not that much hassle to press the centre button, unlock the keys and make a choice. It takes two seconds. I admit browsing the web is a pain, clicking a small hyperlink is awful, you have to zoom right in then click. It sometimes freezes on keypad lock. The camera not reataining it's settings is annoying. Battery life is good. Speaker volume is poor and tinny. The gallery view for photos is very slow. It plays movies well! Sound output through headphones is good. Lens cover opens easy, but at least it has one. Texting is acceptable. It feels unfinished. Like when you select texts to delete you mark the ones, then press 'delete' at the bottom of the screen. Do this in the alarms section, and it says 'deleted', but you've not deleted them yet. It's a typo..?! Can't update the software yourself. Which is stupid, so you're stuck unless you send it back. Mine's with phones4u now. One week and counting. Rating:

Reviewed by G Soor on 06/05/2009 I have had Sony phones for the last 4 years and found them to be excellent but this year, on renewal, I wanted a change so I decided to look at touch screen phones. My criteria was simple, I needed a very good camera phone having had the Sony K850i and a cool phone for my wife. Having read reviews on the camera phones, I decided to choose the Renoir over the Sony C905 and I think I made the right choice. As a phone, the Renoir is very easy to learn and the features are excellent. The Camera is superb and comes with editing software. Its easy to use and very sharp. The PC software is also very easy to install and work with. I was up and running within minutes. I got the LG Arena for my wife and she is very happy with the phone. Verdict: To be honest, I would have been happy with my Sony K850i but now that I have the Renoir, I’m glad I upgraded. As I am a light user, the phone is a joy to use and more importantly, the camera is superb. I don’t text a lot or use the web browser so I can not say if it is any good for heavy users. Rating:

Orange have agreed today ironically enough to finally send me a different phone (Samsung Pixxon Ultra). My LG has had the same fault 4 times (speaker stops working). The music volume on it is total rubbish. When it rings even on maximum volume its pretty quiet. In normal daylight the camera is excellent but in dark conditions with the flash, photos have a blueish tint. The touch screen randomly freezes and the only way to rectify this is to remove the battery. The phone key locks itself automatically during phone calls so if you need to access anything during a call (e.g. press numbers on an automated system) you need to unlock every time (this feature cannot be disabled). Battery life is OK at 2 days but if you anything such as take lots of photos, use the web/wap or listen to music this will reduce to one day. Possible the worse phone I have ever had. My previous phone was a Sony Ericsson K810i, which was a great phone for texting because of it's nice keypad. I text 15 times a day and really needed a successor to handle that well. First day with the Renoir and texting proved so tough: mistakes were made easily and I sent around five blank texts by mistake. I thought I'd live to regret my decision, but two days on and texting is so natural and easy. I like the other features too. The camera is good, but I find the flash could come on at times when it doesn't. You can only set the flash to Auto, red-eye and flash off, so you can't actually set it to just "on". The Wifi was easy to set-up and I got it working with my router in minutes. The "my stuff" folder is a little annoying. It's just not as neat and how memory card and phone memory items are separated just isn't as good as it could be. Overall this is still a great piece of kit. Rating:

Reviewed by James Rai on 01/03/2009 Looks great, touch pad seems fine and some great functions. Also has a few probs like pressing screen and nothing happens even with the touch pen! Stalls, won't connect to wifi. Locks itself during calls-you can switch it off but it still locks within 10 seconds so forget inputting numbers and pin codes. Pain in the backside to navigate. I really wanted to keep this phone but I'll be send it back asap. If you have one that works fine-great! If you're happy with the menus and lack of adjustment, poor support and connects to the net through your provider-no over rule. I've read the manual twice, I know the phone inside out-hey I might have a dodgy one but even the stuff that works is a pain. Don't expect to do anything fast. It does have good sound quality using ear phones with dolby-impressive. How about some qualizer effects? Camera is Outstanding, amazing functions and ease of use. They concentrated on this area and it shows. Shame they couldn't get the rest of the phone to follow suit. I'm giving it a 3 due to the faults it has that make life hell and also the touch pad and camera are great. The menu system is too out of date. Buy for camera and touchpad. If mine was working great-I would keep it. Maybe I was unlucky? I'm not taking the risk! Rating:
Reviewed by John Higons on 01/03/2009 The camera is fantastic and all of the features work fine. The slow motion is a real laugh with my mates and a great feature. But i love the GPS and WiFi internet. I just walked into a restuarant the other day and checked the football scores!! GREAT PHONE Rating:
Reviewed by susan on 28/02/2009 iv had this phone for three days so far and its not the phone for me, i thought this phone would have excellent internet as well as 8mp carmera but internet is absolutely rubbish and people like me who go on the mobile msn alot i can tell you you cant even download msn due to its a LG software, the only way to go on the msn is to go on the mobile internet and use ebuddy. the other thing i dont like about this phone are the sounds it comes out not that sharp its quite mumblely when i go on youtube. but overall its a nice phone if you are a talk and text person who dont use internet alot and you like to take pictures. due to its a upgrade with tmobile i cant change it to another model how bad is that! i have no choice but to put it on ebay.. Reviewed by Simon on 26/02/2009 What is the point of high tech if the phone cant do the basic functions well ? Auto lock extremely annoying. You are supposed to be able to switch this of but you cant.Call volume low, therefore missed calls.battery life very poor..phone generally irritating to use.Camera temperamental. Havent got to know all the faults yet as the phone is going back after 6 days as i have a 7 day cooling of period Are all touchscreen phones this bad?..Not recommended.. Rating:
Reviewed by andrew hendry on 16/02/2009 phone is great, camera fantastic easy use for everything. but the quietest ringtones i have ever had on any phone i have owned in over twenty years phones going back can't hear even in the quietest of surroundings. Rating:
Reviewed by jack on 05/02/2009 overall a very good phone but the touch screen can be a bit iffy at times, but overall i think it's an outstanding phone and deserves high respect. Rating:
Reviewed by James on 02/02/2009 The touchscreen can be a bit dim witted at times, when scrooling through my favourites it often goes the wrong way for no reason, but the divx is great, the dolby is an interesting gimmick and then the camara sits in the mix like a giant anchovy on a party size pizza. if you can put up with the touchscreen its brilliant Rating:
Reviewed by Michelle on 23/11/2008 Really wanting this phone for christmas only used it about 2 times because a friend has one but so far nothing but good comments the only flaw i have about this phone is it does not connect to pc but its hard to find any imprefections in such a perfect phone ;) Rating:
Reviewed by GMAN on 15/11/2008 Dying to get this phone as a replacement for my Viewty. I've used the phone only for a view minutes in an Orange shop and was impressed by the light weight build. The touch screen is a lot more responsive, almost "ipod like". Couple of things I didn't manage to check is ability to store more than 3 numbers for one conatct in the phone book for incoming call id and being able to send long sms (over 2 msgs) as an sms and not switching to mms (very annoying. This is an issue on my current Viewty. Rating:
