Reviewed by Brin T on 17/08/2011 I have had this phone for over 2 years and I am very pleased with it even though it is qite a heavy phone. It hasn't froze up or done anything unusual. The camera is brilliant and the pictures are brighr and clear. Apart from the weight I would recommend it to anyone. Rating:
Reviewed by rikku on 13/04/2011 I have had this phone for 3 years now, and it recently malfunctioned due to water damage (me being careless!) Who knows how much longer this would have lasted, the camera is really good, so is the video. Although you can't really take pictures in the dark. Some people here are saying that they sent their KC550 back after a few weeks, the first one I got, I returned within 2weeks as it kept hanging up, however the second one I got has had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever! Great buy. give it a second try. Rating:
Reviewed by Gary from England on 06/02/2011 I have had my phone for the best part of 2 years. This phone has never let me down. It is on 24/7 and has also been used abroad a few times. You do need to extend the internal memory as it is not very big but that is probably the most negative thing i can say about this phone. My son bought one the week before me and has only changed it recently because he wanted an i phone. Worth the money and i am looking to keep mine for some time yet. Rating:

Reviewed by helene from wales on 24/07/2010 i have had this phone for 2yrs and have to say that i have had no trouble with it freezing or anything else, it is a good sturdy phone which i have dropped on numerous occasions and there is not a mark on it. i have had a few different make phones over the years and i find Lg to be one of the best quality. the navigation joystick still works perfectly, i had this phone on a contract originally and liked it so much that when the contract ended i had a sim only deal and kept the phone, Rating:
Reviewed by Eviee on 17/07/2010 I have had this phone for more than 18 months now and I love it. I have never had any problems with it at all. Everyone has commented saying how sleek and stylish it looks and I am so proud to own this phone. I would recommend getting a memory card as the pictures and videos take up a lot of space. I seriously recommend this phone. I love it soo much :D Rating:
Reviewed by katie from wales on 16/06/2010 latest update with the LG KC550. I have had this phone for around a year. I would not recommend anyone to buy this phone. it began to crash on me the first 6months of using it. Lately the screen has gone a bit blue plus my pictures are all like water paint. And today..!!! it crashed on me completely, the screen wont even come on. I must say, it's been the worse phone i have ever had!! Rating:
Reviewed by ixxy on 30/03/2010 the phone is overall pretty good. however sometimes when i turn it on the screen goes blank and i have to restart it also sometimes freezes. over all good phone with good camera but it could do so much more. Rating:
Reviewed by Emma on 23/02/2010 I agree it's a bit too large and heavy but it actually has a really good memory!!! The normal memory only holds a few files, but all you have to do is press file to external memory! I have about 90 videos in external memory (and i can still hold loads more) and NEARLY 200 PICTURES (which i can also still hold loads more)! The camera is excellent. If you want a LG touchscreen, buy the cookie but don't moan when you are unhappy with your rubbish 3.2 megapixel camera!! Rating:
Reviewed by Alex on 15/12/2009 I have the same problem with this phone as some of you do. When i answer a call/make a call i cant hear what there saying. The loudspeaker is driving me mad. Does this problem ever go? I'm going back to Nokia phones. They are trustworthy! Rating:
Reviewed by SeLLmaa on 02/12/2009 The phone's absolutely amazing! I have had it for 3 months now, hasn't let me down!! It did freeze like 2-3 times, but I am very satisfied. I am very happy with this phone. The games are cool, wii-like, really good speakers, the camera is outstanding!! If you ask me- I recommend it. 5 stars! Rating:
Reviewed by Will Millard on 25/11/2009 This phone was A. The first 5 mega pixel camera under £200 and B. The first phone with an accelerometer that incorporated user interaction e.g. Games & Wallpaper I pre ordered this phone, before it was realised. I paid £165 fro it which didn’t seem that bad for a 5 mega pixel camera (at the time was the best mobile quality). It took a week for me to get annoyed with the phone; the camera is frustratingly slow and also very poor picture quality. The phone itself is ridiculously slow and takes about 5 minuets for it to warm up, the keypad is very small and hard to use. The slide over camera protector is constantly being opened in my pocket, which then scratches the camera. The phone also lacks themes, 3g, and many other things. There is only one thing good about this phone; its document viewer/sharer is good and is useful for work. But otherwise avoid this phone. I am about to purchase the Nokia 5530 and will review that. Rating:
Reviewed by Nathanael on 20/11/2009 Got this phone 14 months ago. About a month ago the screen started going negative (whites turned purple). By now the screen is black most of the time despite the phone being on. Apart from this huge problem it has been a good phone. It's nice and chunky, feels sturdy and has an alright camera. The flash could do with being turned off though. The screen problem does exist however. If you intend to hold this phone for a long time bear in mind this problem might happen. It renders the phone virtually unusable and unreliable. Rating:
Reviewed by russell on 04/11/2009 never ever write reviews but felt compelled to with this dire mobile absolute rubbish, bought from argos a few months ago fo £79 it does not hold a 4 gig memorey card very well, everytime you try to play mp3's it re starts itself every phone call i recieve has a bad echo, poor reception the video is in "gp format " not avi or mpeg 4,therefore poor quality vids, over all,a very poor mobile,be warned russell, manchester Rating:
Reviewed by Tom on 25/10/2009 Had this phone about a month and a bit. I'd rate it ... 3 and a half out of 5. Construction feels a bit flimsy especially the back of the phone and the camera shutter. The keypad and buttons aren't very good either as they are a bit awkward to press - not great as I do a lot of texting. It also picks up fingerprints like nobodys business! For me it freezes for about a minute when I try and read my texts and then starts working again. However thats only in the first month so I don't know how well its going to hold up for the next 17 of them! Its a good phone but not for people who really use their phone a lot, if you are a keen texter buy something better! Rating:
Reviewed by Dave on 23/10/2009 Got this about 10 months ago, was great at first, nice looking keypad, nice sized screen ect ect. about 1-2 months later, the screen stops working..just went black. i can still make a call (if i know the number and type it properly) so i take it back to phones 4 u (bought it from them but i came with my orange contract), they take it away and come back 5 days later telling me fone is fixed, it was a software issue.. we updated it all and its all good. well after that it stopped charging properly.. doesnt work on mains at all.. ive tried several chargers. had to use usb to pc in the end. about a month later i turned it on one morning.. kc550 pops up correctly.. then lg simble comes up in negative, it loads and all the colours are negative.. eventualy it went fuzzy, froze and i had to turn it off.. kept doing it for 10 mins. so i boxed it up took to work, lunch time i march into phones 4 u and tell them its messed up again, so i turn it on and its fine :S so i leave slighly happy with my fone working 3 months later it does it again but after 10 mins with no battery its fine.. 3 month later (today) the it does it again and now its permanent.. its been like it for 7 hours ive taken it to phones 4 u and asked for a new fone as its pissing me off the say i cant ive had it over a month so they wont give me a dif model.. they only offer to fix it. well screw them, im going to see what trading standards have to say. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE EVER, UNLESS YOU WANT COUNTLESS ARGURMENTS WITH YOUR PHONE PROVIDER my one star = -5 stars Rating:

Reviewed by Jade on 04/08/2009 I like this phone when I got it out the box and I quite liked it. It came with wii-style games and the moving background was quite cool. But after a month things were different. It would'nt allow you to recieve anything via blutooth, it said battery full when recieving although I had stored EVERYTHING on the memory card. The battery life was poor and my 2.0 mega-pixel Sony Ericsson was has a better camera than this. I sincerely do not recommend this phone to ANYONE, if you want a similiar phone, try the Sony Ericsson W595, much more reliable and quite stylish to. Rating:
Reviewed by Michael Hawthorne on 20/07/2009 Although I am pleased that many customers found their phone to be satisfactory, my experience was less so. Although certain functions performed admirably, I was disappointed to note that within weeks the screen began to fade out at the top leaving me without 33% of the screen. This developed quite quickly into a complete screen malfunction making my phone useless for texting and caller identification. I did check the review centre before purchasing the phone but found no review, it is with much regret that I have since found this website and the miced results which would have made me change my mind. It deserves no stars but I have given it one. Kind regards M. Hawthorne Rating:
Reviewed by Jen on 17/07/2009 My boyfriend bought this phone for me, it is the pink one. I wish he hadn't as I have had nothing but trouble with it. The screen has gone, what is the point of texting when you cannot see the screen? I am really disapointed, so is my boyfriend. Avoid. Rating:

DO NOT BUY - SCREEN MESSES UP AND CAMERA IS USELESS. Lin x Rating:
Reviewed by Mark on 17/07/2009 I bought this phone from Tescos for my wife in May. I had to buy an extra £50 quids worth of shopping to get it for £20 cheaper, then I bought £20 worth of credit as when she topped it up she would get £60! A good deal I thought...well, I gave it to her at the end of April, she put the credit on but did not register so she missed out on the extra £40 credit...then it lasted about 8 weeks before the screen went dodgy and she had not used the phone since as she cannot see anything on the phone. At first I thought it was ok but now Tescos will not refund/replace without the receipt and I am left with a duff phone. Rating:
Reviewed by Josh on 13/07/2009 I bought the phone in august 2008, and have had no problems with it whatsoever, dont mind the size 'cos i love having the big screen, the battery life is great and i dont mind carry an extra 50g around either. Its stylish and has done everything i want it to do. will be sad to let my little Orsay go at the end of its contract, great phone. Be wary if you get a faulty one, though ive been extremely lucky. Rating:
Reviewed by Simon - UK on 09/07/2009 I brought this phone a few days ago. It is only for work so reseption and talk time were my main reasons for getting it. Its the only phone that gets reseption in my house for that its a massive plus and indeed it has a huge talk time also.. so for a dogs body phone its top notch. The music ( and radio) and phone reseption is fantastic quality but the negative you can only put 3 songs on before filling up the memory, so an SD card is a must if you wish to have songs on it. A negative is its big and heavy ( well compared to the new phones) but for me its perfect for a work phone as i dont lose it!!. The camera and function of this phone are fantastic also. For £75 im happy with it, its perfect for what i brought it for, great reseption and talk time... Now time will tell if it lasts the long term tests.. I would give it 5 stars but for the very small memory it has..but an SD card would make this a very good phone Rating:
Reviewed by Cheeese on 09/07/2009 My lg kc550 has turned its self off randomly before and I didnt expect the camera to be that bad and also its so easy to get onto the internet making it annoyingly expensive when you find youve accedently been on the internet this month it cost me 25 pounds! Also when your talking to someone you can barley hear them and I dont know how to turn up the volume so I can hear people talking to me. If anyone knows how to lock the internet on it or turn up the volume post it so I can seee!!!! Other than that not a bad phone. Rating:
Reviewed by Mark Adams on 06/07/2009 This phone sucks. Tesco had a deal so I spent over 50 quid to get 20 pounds off the phone, then I purchased 20 pounds worth of credit off tesco in the assumption that my wife would get 60 pounds as waa their offer at the time and the phone was for her. However, the wife didn't register first which was the deal and after two months the phone screen went blank. What makes it worse is that Tesco will not replace free as I do not have the receipt. Reviewed by Rob Warrington on 12/06/2009 I am very, very, very dissapointed with my LG KC550. It turns its self off ramdomly and the screen comes up with "LOADING" until I take the battery off it. The microphone was very quiet and nobody could hear what I was saying so I took it to get repaired. The repair took over 3 months and now that I have it back the Camera does not work. The market trader said it was a problem with the mother board, likely story. Dont buy an LG KC550 what ever you do and dont go to "The Phone Box" in Warrington Market. Rating:
Reviewed by Becki on 31/05/2009 Hello I am 13 and I have had this phone for 8 months and currently I havent experienced any problems. I regularly use my phone and I think it is really worth buying. Its stylish and with its large screen its very good to look at images. The pictures taken on the Schneider-Kreuznach lens are great and its just the right weight for me. Its a little chunky but I think thats its only downside, but at its low price it's totally worth having. Also you can access the internet easily and it is quite fast. Also I can use the joystick and the keypad at ease. So I recommend getting this phone as it's the best phone I have ever had and I love it! Rating:

Reviewed by Melanie on 06/05/2009 I cannot believe how many good reviews there are for this phone! I've had it about four months. It is a bit on the chunky side but great for the money paid. Camera - brilliant (if a little slow), memory easily upgraded (if you buy a card it recognises),functions are easy to use. HOWEVER, when this phone ages, it ages bad! I have the same complaints as fifty percent of the reviews on here.... * phone freezes a five times a minute, especially if it gets warm, you're charging it or you receive/ make a phone call. *the phone takes longer and longer to boot up/ acess memory. It now takes around ten minutes for me to turn my phone on. * the screen goes blue randomly * when turning on, ninety percent of the time it freezes on the LG screen and has to have the battery taken out * if you have more than 100 messages in your inbox, your phone freezes on the inbox screen. * I can no longer hear people when they ring, I have to have them on speaker phone... ..... the list can go on and on and on. It is a terrible phone. You get what you pay for. There's no wonder that dialaphone have stopped offering it... DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE. Rating:

Reviewed by gg on 02/05/2009 I've just bought this phone after sending back my Samsung G600 5 times and having 5 replacements from Tesco's. Yet my friends have never had problems with there G600. Ultimately, any mobile will have faults. Even the most popular mobie's will have hundreds of people having problems. A lot can go wrong with them and it really is pot luck. If the phone you get breaks down a lot (like my old G600) then it feels like the worst phone of all time. Yet my old Motorola Pebble is still going strong. Best phone ever for me, yet a friend was always getting problems with hers and she always slags it off. The smaller they get and the cheaper they do them the more problems we will all get with our mobies. As for the LG phone. So far 4/5.
