A few months ago I would have raved about this phone but it's now driving me nuts! The fact that you have to be a contortionist to type numbers and symbols is a deal breaker for me but my MAIN GRIPE is the fact that the speaker is knackered and I've only had it for 6 months! If you search on Blackberry forums and the like, you will find hundreds, if not thousands of complaints about the speaker - it will just suddenly die on you and therefore you can no longer hear the phone ringing despite having it on the loudest profile - its barely audible! There are various work arounds (putting bits of folded paper/card behind the battery cover or gently but firmly pressing the area around the flash). However this is totally unacceptable and Blackberry really need to address this issue as its obviously very common. Thankfully, having been tied into Orange with the Blackberry, they're HAVING to let me out of my contract early as they've messed up big time (Orange I mean!) and so now I am going to use my iPhone 3GS on a SIM only contract with O2 - I am never going down the mobile phone contract route again - sorry, digressing from BB Bold review here! In summary, reluctantly I'd have to say AVOID getting this phone at all costs. It may APPEAR to offer everything, i.e. internet, email etc... but the operating system is very outdated - it hasn't really been updated that much from the BB Pearl OS. If I could give this review 'zero' stars I would - NOT impressed at all, come on Blackberry, SORT THIS OUT.

So many good features on this phone and a great tool whilst not having a laptop with internet/wi-fi connection. Unfortunately, all the good work has been undone by a battery life of about 8 hours - even when not making a single call or browsing. I mean, when is a 'mobile' not a mobile when you have to keep it plugged in a charger virtually permanently?

I have read the reviews and cant believe I am seeing negative ones about the Bold. Its the best mobile/PDA I have had and on the market. I use my Bold constantly and have never had a problem with it. Yes, the apps use a lot of battery power, but on the help guide on the phone, it gives tips on how to make sure to shut down apps and the backlighting to less time in order to conserve the battery, which can last up to 2 days and more. This is a seriously good phone.

I have been a Nokia user for over 20 years, purchased the Nokia N97 was so dissapointed. I rely on emails, and the Bold is the best device i have ever had. Whoever says that this device is no good, does not know about phones or can not understand the funcionality.

I love my bold it runs really fast and is definitely unlike anything I have ever used before! I was disappointed when I realised I needed BIS to run it properly but I soon sorted that out! I had a trusty nokia before and anyone who wants to put in a sim and go should go for that because my bold needed lots of setting up. But once you get going nothing out there like it! Highly recommended

I love my Blackberry Bold but unfortunately, despite taking extremely good care of it and always keeping it in its holder at only 6 months old it has developed moisture ingress, and of course even though I haven't exposed it to any moisture, it isn't covered by warranty. I am really frustrated by the fact that this appears to be a manufacturing problem with these phones, they apparently are more susceptible to humidity than any other phone, and bad luck if yours is one of the ones affected. So although it is a great phone to use, beware.

I love this phone accept that its easy to cut a call off when the red button seems to easily touch ur cheek and push in whilst talking. Also ive tried and tried and many other users can't seem to connect it to their home wifi networks.
