Reviewed by Rus on 16/06/2009i have just read the reviews, because i have had the same problems, i had an earlier model, which did the same thing, so i thought i would be crafty and buy the same again as the warrenty had expired, then take my original one's back for a refund, but they had changed the logo slightly, so no joy. and surprize surprize this model is now broken as well, what a pile of junk !!! Extremely annoying, I am now having to buy a new phone as I have decided to place this one where it belongs in the bin! We were given this phone as a present so haven't got the receipt to take back. There is definately a fault with this unit. It started to fail by cutting out when you try and answer a call and it doesn't seem to matter how long you leave it on the cradle or if the batteries are replaced. It is extremely annoying. My brother, sister and mom all have this phone and are experiencing the same problems - my moms phone crackles constantly which isn't a phone line issue as her other phones work fine. Donot buy this phone as it is extremely unreliable and judging by other reviews replacing the phone doesn't resolve the problem. Very annoying. Changing batteries makes no difference. Have the same problem on both of my Studio 1100 BT phones! Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Raj on 11/04/2009 Don't buy this phone. There is clearly a design flaw as so many people are seeing the same problem. BT should have picked this up by now and issued a product recall notice. The issue is that whenever a key is pressed on the handset it switches itself off and on again. This also happens when lifting the handset from the charger or answering a call rendering the phone useless. I bought the 5 handset version and this is happening consistently on 4 of the 5 handsets and intermittently on the fifth. I've had them for about a month. One lasted about 3 months, the other managed to keep going an extra couple of weeks. Had them replaced, but they just keep cutting out, not letting you answer or speak to the caller and the battery life is awful. Do yourself a favour, steer well clear! Had them for a little over a year, batteries are exhausted and don't hold charge, base stations are erratic, sometimes connect other times it doesn't, answerfone works OK though! Handset is not very nice to use. Save your money, steer clear of BT. All the reviews I read for Siemens and Panasonic are great so guess what I'm buying next! I will never purchase BT equipment again - ever! When it rings, I pick it up but it does not allow me to speak to the caller. I called BT helpline and they told me I should remove the phone from the cradle periodically. Which I do. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by kerry on 25/02/2007 I am about to return this phone for the second time the first handset went faulty within 3wks I got a replacement only 2wks ago and its also faulty it keeps cutting out during calls and the sound distorts even when in the same room as the base unit,and it continually crackles ,my old diverse was 100% better.
