I bought the quad set my sister the 2 phone set (both with answering machine) THere is no facility to set date and time on the answering machine. The indoor/outdoor range is vastly overstated, my sister can barely go 12 yards from her base station before losing contact. The answering machine has intermittent troubles, sometimes the caller message time is reduced to about 5 seconds, enough time to say "Hi this is ..." before being cut off. Sometimes, the outgoing message time is reduced (for no apparent reason) to about 5 seconds, then all one can do is say "Hi, leave message" THere is virtually NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, everyone seems to pass the buck. The telephone may carry the ntl brand name, but they decline responsbility as it is made by ALBA. If I (and my sister) had out time again neither of us would touch this set with a barge pole. At £130 it was vastly over-priced.
