I looked long and hard for a DECT phone and finally settled on this after taking back a dbtel because the earpiece volume level was too quiet. The phone looks good and has plenty of feature that many other phones don't, but there are 2 drawbacks.
1)The answerphone expects the person leaving the message to also leave the
date and time that they called, this is not done automatically by the answer
machine as it is on many other phones.
2)The MAJOR drawback is the LCD screen, it is not backlit and neither are any of the buttons, so if your are in a dark environment you can't see what the buttons do (as many are multi functional), and also what particular menu you are in. If you are in a bright environment you are always tilting the phone to stop the glare off the screen. This to me is something that could have been overcome just by adding a small backlight LED which would have cost pennies.
I am taking the phone back after only having it for 2 days, if i am paying £100 for something then i expect it to be usable.
