Having read the other reports I have to agree entirely. We are on our 2nd version of this phone as we had to get the 1st replaced as it stopped getting a dial tone. The 2nd has now developed problems (right after the 1st year!), which means the display will sometimes disappear, you can't always get into the address book, the answer machine picks up far to early, and now it has started turning off in the middle of phone calls. Will certainly never be getting another phone like this.

Mine started playing up right on cue just after I'd had it for 1 year. The handset won't register to the base station. I phoned the helpline - who were good - and they talked me through a whole load of things to do, but no change. I replaced the battery in the handset, too, but still no change. The answering machine seems to work OK.

This was a wedding gift and the features on it are quite funky. The speaker phone is extremely useful when you are on hold with BT as well as the re-dial and the fact that you can do everything from the handset. Call us unlucky, but this is most definitely the worst cordless phone we have ever suffered. We have owned this phone and the BT On-Air 1100 Classic for nearly 2 years and the problems have been never ending. The main problem is when you go to make a phone call sometimes there is no dial tone or display on the handset. We are on our 6th version of this phone, having sent it back for repair, and the problem still persists. For no reason the phone loses its display. You are able to look at your phone book and select to make a call but you do not get a dial tone. The other persistent problem is you suddenly hear someone talking on the answer phone but the phone hasn't done its preset 6 rings and when you try to pick up you can't connect. Don't waste your money.
