Reviewed by Chris on 19-01-2006 Works fine as a phone, but problems with microphone as noted in earlier review.
The controls are very awkward with the phone book button at the base, and the buttons are a bit small and squidgy.
The main issue is the voice quality is bad with frequent crackles on the line - no matter where you are.
Best avoided and will I replace with non-Binatone model. Rating:
Reviewed by Kevin on 13-09-2005 An odd phone at best. Earpiece volume is extremely low in non speaker mode yet quite loud in speaker mode. The microphone seems to be a directional type nearly useless if speaking more that 6" away from it. The ringtones are the opposite. They are too loud, even on the lowest setting and there is no way to actually turn the ring tone off. Overall it is not a good experience. I'll try it as my VOIP phone and see if I have any luck. If not it can join a few other disappointing DECT phones I have accumulated lately. Maybe I will go back to corded phones. Rating:
Reviewed by Muriel on 10-04-2004 Our four person 3 storey household like the system. We use the intercom to inform the person on top floor that food is on the table. Having a handset on each floor saves a lot of steps when the phone rings. A recent problem is that that the phones are unusable for big parts of the day. We believe a signal nearby interfers with the signal between the handsets and the base station. We've tried using all four channels with no success. In summary we like the phone if only we could use it all the time. Rating:
