Purchased this model of Siemens washing machine last year - it is just under one year old (12 days to go) and it has broken down. Looks like a fault with the pump - some nasty noises coming from it... so much for the legendary reliability of German manufacturers. I shall go for LG or Zanussi next time. Siemens are very over rated. This model washes well and is pretty quiet but it doesnt rinse very well, even with the 'extra rinse' function set - and I only use half the amount of detergent the soap manufacturers recommend so goodness knows how much residue would be left if you put the full amount in. I may just have a 'bad' machine, buying any appliance seems to be a bit of a lottery these days as even some of the top end manufacturers seem to be trading on their name not quality.
