In just over 2 years of operating with a family of 6, this meaning it runs daily if not twice a day, it has operated without problem.
Saying that however, it has just broken down. The bearings on the drum have worn out and the whole drum unit requires replacement. Two years and two weeks old and the manufacturers warranty last two years. "Typical".
Luckily I purchased from Comet with their three year extended Warranty plan. So a cost of just over £400 has been avoided for a portion of that cost spent two years ago.
Comparing this to our previous machines, all of which were Hotpoint (I knew their service number off by heart), This is an exceptional work horse and great value for money.
As with all heavily used items though, get extended warranty. :D
