We bought this machine in December 2007. It has broken down a number of times. The first engineer said it was low water pressure. When it broke down again the same engineer said it was washing powder in the inlet valve. He then said the machine was repaired and left my property. The machine broke down after he left, I phoned the manufacturers repair centre who said they would look into the problem. The next day the repair centre phoned us they stated that the aforementioned engineer had ordered new parts for the machine. So he knew it was not repaired as the fault codes must have shown on his laptop. All in all we have been without a machine for one month when you consider the lead times it takes Hotpoint to get an engineer to deal with the problem. In conclusion this is the first time we have bought from this manufacturer and also the last.
