Reviewed by Hilly on 07/02/2012quiet at first but within weeks became noisy.selector knob broke within 3 months as flimsy.I paid for an extra years warranty 2 weeks after warranty ran out fault flashed and needed expensive computer board and call out charge.although hotpoint the board inside is indesit! I have decided to get rid of it and and not pay for the expensive repair so have to now buy another washing machine.I wouldn't recommend I will buy another brand name. Rating:   Reviewed by Denz on 03/05/2010 after 13 months this machine started spinning slowly for 20 minutes on a program 3 wash - auto clear filter, checked pipes etc. nothing apparent. phoned boots kitchen appliances (who had tried to sell us a warranty in the 12th month) surprise surprise, they didnt want to know... "out of warranty" they said could not use the normal coloured wash cycle and had to use alternative cycles. tried again to use wash cycle 3 - 16 months old, fault still exists, seems to be with loads over half full. boot's explaination of, "probably uneven load or too many clothes in" is rubbish. machine useless to us with a new baby and a teenager now looking at expensive repair or yet another brand new machine and its not even two years old. dont touch hoover with a barge pole, their machines are rubbish and boot's kitchen appliances back up service is non existant. disgraceful. Rating: Reviewed by rentabrat on 31/12/2009 I have had this machine for 1 month and it requires a new motor and computer control board. When it was working it was great but to break after 1 months use and need 2 new parts is worrying even the Hotpoint engineer called his office to say it should be sent back. Rating:
