Bought one two years ago. Had to call out an engineer three times since. They have replaced the circuit board twice. I now have a leak from the front left. The washing machine is great if it works. It's expensive to buy but even more expensive to fix. If you get on of these then get an extended cover to go with it. It shouldn't need an extended warranty when the machine cost so much to start with. It's great when it work - no doubt that!! But by the time you add up the actual cost of the machine, warranty and the hassle of call outs, time off work and stress - I am sure you can buy an alternative machine that does an equally good job of washing your cloths without hurting your wallet as much.

First machine broke down after 5 days, engineer said it was unreparable something to do with on board computer chips. Hotpoint sent out a new machine 5 days later. This seems to be working fine, although only niggle is washing seems to take a long time (1 hr 40 mins) for a 40 degree wash. This was the same for the first machine so must be in the design. Plus points great looking machine, super silent, easy to master controls, and good choice of wash programmes. would reccomend if you like gadgets, make sure you take out insurance/extended warranty these are not cheap to repair. rating 7/10
