I bought one about a year ago. It has broken down, eaten my clothes and is really noisy. I would not purchase one.

i bought one 8 weeks ago. i had it replaced after 4 weeks due to the rubber seal breaking down and appearing all over my wahng. hotpoint replaced it for what they said was another brand new one (i'm not convinced it wasn't a reconditioned one they had already had returned). less than two weeks later i have had to ask for different machine due to the same fault. i avise anyone not to bother.
