Reviewed by Jutty Lane on 25/03/2008 Had the machine for two years, nothing but trouble, STAY AWAY!!!!! From day 1, even though it states "super silent" it is possibly the noisiest machine ever. the dryer never seemed to dry the clothes properly. Then we started to get F13 error messages. Having looked into this I found out it was a thermostat problem which I cured myself. A few months later the problem returned, but this time you could not turn the machine off, you had to physically disconnect the power to it to remove the f13 error message, again I looked into it and replaced a burnt out dryer element and thermostat, however this time the problem did not go away. So I phoned Hotpoint and they would not connect me to any technical help, and were reluctant to give me any advice. They were more interested in getting an engineer out at £90 per hour, or for me to sign up for an extended warranty. I decided to cut my loses and bought a Bosch Washing machine (fingers crossed)!! Reviewed by Ben Brien on 15/03/2007 I've owned one for the last 3 months, got the best deal from tribal uk on the net. it works quite well, and is fairly quiet though the spin is still quite loud. it is "intelligent" so it can work out how much more drying is needed and stops accordingly. my problem is that it has broken down twice in the last 3 months, probably both times because of a faulty computer part which is now on order from hotpoint. they do not offer any replacement for customers and i will be spending 2-3 weeks in total waiting for the repair, as well as wasting a lot of time waiting for engineers as they will only say that they will come either 0800-1200 or 1200-1800 which tends to mess up a whole day. i was happy with the machine, but feel that it it is too technical and fear it will suffer more problems than a simple washing machine.
