This is Hotpoint's largest capacity washing machine with a capacity of 9kg. Not surprisingly that is reflected in the price so it isn't one of Hotpoint's cheapest machines by any means. However, if size is your number one criterion then this is a good bet if you don't want something that looks like it belongs in an industrial laundry. Key features include Woolmark Platinum Care, a Duvet Cycle which is designed for duvets and other padded items like jackets, and the Bed & Bath cycle which washes one double set of bedding, two singles and four bath towels in one load. Hotpoint make this claim about the Bed & Bath cycle for most of their machines, most of which do not have 9kg capacities. We can only assume therefore that if this claim is true, it will apply to this machine. Bear in mind that 9kg is probably excessive for most people, so you might be better off with a cheaper 7kg machine.

bought a 9kg machine 6 months ago. Started making a terrible noise during the spin. Has been written off. Waiting on a new one. If this one breaks down I will never buy a hotpoint again!
