Do not buy an AEG-Electrolux washing mashine if you believed you purchased a quality product made to last. These machines are now made by Zanussi, as I was told by our local service engineer, during a call-out because this washing machine kept stopping half way in the wash programme, reverting back to the start time. It couldn't cope with heavy loads anymore (towels, sheets, etc.),starting to spin with high water levels in the drum. The rinse and spin cycle was up the wall and very noisy and unbalanced. Serviceforce says that I need a new contolboard, setting me back some £ 200.00 as the manufacurers guarantee has just run out on the AEG lavamat
