Reviewed by Ron Moses on 22/04/2011This is a brand new WDF 740 Hotpoint washer/dryer. If ran without any laundry in it, the washing spin cycle works like a charm, if putting just a few shirts and socks in the machine and ran, the spin cycle causes the machine to bounce all over the laundry room due to the unequal weight distribution. It will break things in your laundry room if not bolted down. Any attempt to take clothes out to lower the vibration does not help; essentially a washing machine that runs fine by not putting any clothes in it. This is the first load of laundry for this machine as it is brand new so I would give it a poor rating! Rating:   Reviewed by escandalosa on 17/04/2011 What a complete pile of junk. the heating element for the dryer stopped working at 11 months. now the machine at 18 months is pumping water out through the draw. tried all the advice from hotpoint and still doesn't work. Everytime i wash it pumps out a full bucket. I fear rather than fixing I shall be replacing Rating: Reviewed by Steven Struthers on 19/06/2010 I cannot recommend this product, and strongly urge that you consider alternates. 3 Engineers have been out to have a look and correct whinning noise , motor replaced, still extremely noisy with a high pitched whinning whenever used from new. Engineers have now advised that this is normal $%^2 ? a very bad choice and my particular unit is now being returned. This product is not fit for home use due to the noise emmissions during usage unless of course you put in the shed at the bottom of your garden. WELL MY MACHINE IS 2MTHS OLD, AND WHEN I RECEIVED IT THE FRONT WAS DAMAGED SO THEY CHANGED THE FACIA, THEN A WK LATER THEY CAME AND REPLACED THE MOTOR AND BELT BECAUSE IT STETCHED, THE SIDE OF THE MACHINE WAS DAMAGED STILL WAITING FOR ENGINEER TO REPLACE, BUT IS COMING TO CHECK THE NOISE LEVEL OF THE SPIN CYCLE IT IS SO NOISEY THAT WE HAVE TO CLOSE THE DOORS SO WE CAN HEAR THE TV (WHAT A JOKE). THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET A NEW MACHINE IS IF THE ENGINEER CONDEMS IT HAHA. I BROUGHT MINE FROM APPLIANCE WORLD NOT MUCH JOY FROM THEM TYPICAL THEY TAKE YOUR CASH BUT THE MINUTE THERES A PROBLEM IT PASSED AROUND GETTING YOU NOWWHERE. BEARING IN MIND MINE IS THE 1600 FUNNY I CANT FIND ANY OF THIS MODEL SINCE I BROUGHT OURS SO I WILL BE ASKING WHY (PROBABLY SOLD ME THE LAST DUFF ONE) Rating:
