Bought this machine because didnt have the space for both washing machine and dryer. Worst investment in my life. Broke down after 13 months, went on a contract to get it fixed from domestic and general. It breaks on a monthly basis and it feels like Trigger's broom in Only Fools and Horses. I think every part has been changed. My contract ends in Feb and it won't be renewed, I am getting a new machine, NOT a washer dryer. Reading reviews, Miele seem the best as they offer 10 year parts and labour. I bet hotpoint wouldn't have the guts to do that, they would be bust in 1 year!

I regret buying this machine, it takes too long to wash, the dryer is not that efficient, can't clean filter yourself, have to get an engineer out if it gets clogged up, no matter how small the amount of powder, liquid, or recommended tablet you use, dark clothes show up with white patches all over and that happens even when I am only putting two items in the drum for a quick wash. My last machine was a Hoover and it was fine no problem with the wash, but had to buy new machine as I needed a tumble dryer and did not have the space for a standalone one.
