Mine died after two years of moderate use. Drum bearings failed during a drying cycle...which resulted in drum belt coming off and tearing through some seal which resulted in something melting, a cracked lid and a warped door (don't quote me on this, these are just some of the words I remember the shocked repair man telling me). When it did work, it did what it had to do, quietly, and it looked quite good too...for a washing machine. Shame about the reliability.

Have had the washer 2 years now, only one problem so far with the machine not wanting to do a spin, solved the problem myself, the machine is very quiet, drying clothes does seem to take longer than a normal dryer, as it's so quiet i don't mind so much.

Please do not buy anything with the name Hotpoint on it. Poor reliability and even worse after sales service. It seems that Hotpoint are more interested in making money out of their after sales repairs and warranties than actually producing appliances that work properly. I spent a small fortune on this washing machine only for the ECB to blow after only two years of very gentle use. After calling customer service I was told that I would have to pay £99 for a visit, which wouldn’t guarantee that the problem would be addressed (every subsequent visit would cost £99). It’s that or forking out £150 for having them attempt to repair the appliance – if they can’t on the first visit they will refund your £150. Fine! But you are still left with a fairly new but broken w/machine. I will not buy anything from Hotpoint again and I suggest that anyone looking to purchase an electrical appliance also looks elsewhere

Washer good but drier rubbish. Had Service guys out twice and one never even switched it on to check it. It does not dry clothes and they come out all creased. I have now been left high and dry by Hotpoint. Never ever again buy from this company. You have been warned!

easy to use a program , very quiet , my kettle make more noise that this washer dryer , the sensor drying as a bit of a let down , i feel it take longer to dry clothes than a normal dryer , but on the whole i like my new washer dryer
