I've had this machine for four years. The shock absorbers wore out within months causing the machine to shudder and rattle. Then the soap wouldn't go out of the soap drawer so we used a soapball. Then it wouldn't stop filling water on some programs, and tried to turn with the drum full to the top. It then boiled the water on 30 degree setting. The motor turns erratically and the motor is inaccessibly located at the bottom. The programmer gets stuck on some programs. It trips the house earth leakage breaker on programs 1,2 and 3. Today it did just about all of those things as well as overheating and melting the soap drawer. Obviously has a design life of about 8 weeks.

We have the AL150 (1500 Spin Speed), it is one of the most unreliable machines we have ever had. We had the first machine taken away to Hoovers laboratory for testing after it flooded out the house, it was accepted as faulty. The replacement machine has had the Engineer out numerous times so far on the same fault. We will not buy Hoover again.
