As I have several cats, a dog and a messy husband I always have to buy a powerful hoover with a pet hair tool. I bought this Vax because it fitted the bill. I haven't been disappointed. The last hoover I had was a Morphy Richards and this Vax is a million times more effective. It picks up well from carpets and hard floors and the filters have also lasted well. It is a bit heavy but would definitely recommend.

Smashing little Cleaner. Tools are easy to use, very long power lead, easy and relatively (for a bagless) clean to empty without fiddling. Picks up
pet hair / dust very well. Castors on rear make for easy handling, but would have preferred normal wheels as moving from room to room you should
really carry it rather than push it, but it isn't too heavy, and it has a well placed carry handle. The "Turbo" hand tool I thought would be a gimmick, but is actually a very high speed rotating brush system for chairs etc and is VERY effective, particularly with pet hairs. Don't normally write these things, but after returning another brand because it just didn't work (clogged the filter in minutes), this chappy is a delight and deserves praise when there are so many other poor devices out there!Excellent value for money.
