Reviewed by martin on 30/12/2011 My vac motor started to rev up and down after 2 uears of domestic use. Apparently it was bearing problems and not repairable, but a new motor would cost more than the original cleaner did new! So Miele must have designed it as non repairable, as bearings cost only a few pounds. Rating:
Reviewed by A. Noble on 03/05/2006 This vacuum cleaner was ok when I got it - nothing special, but ok. Then I vacuumed up some plaster dust. It does state in the instruction manual that is ok, even goes as far as to reccomend the best way to do it, although a customer representative argued with me today that it wasn't ok - he had to admit he was wrong when he read the manual! Anyway, it has never functioned properly since then, and finally gave up the ghost 6 months after I bought it. I had problems returning it to the manufacturer, and their customer services rep's weren't always very nice. Now, 10 days later, I am told that it will cost £235 to fix, even though I only paid £105 for it! As a "gesture of goodwill" they will repair it for £70 + £12.50 P&P! The reason they will not repair it for free? Because I had recently used a non-Miele dustbag. I didn't know it was just a compatible, you need a magnifying glass to read the print that says that! At the time the vaccum stopped working properly, it was proper Miele bags and filters that were in. I kept emptying them, thinking they were maybe full, and that is why I had to order more. So, I as not happy with the product, I am even more unhappy with the company! Rating:
