Reviewed by Telios Fan on 05/10/2006 If you are looking for a budget cylinder cleaner you won't go wrong with the Telios models.I'm now on my second Telios after my 8 year old Telios 1500 Pets model decided enough was enough. The Telios range is becoming smaller now that the Sensory range has taken over but over the Sensory there is still reason to consider the Telios. Hoover have been making the Telios in so many different versions it is hard to find what is the best pick out of the range. Although the T5702 doesn't have variable suction control, try and find a bagged Telios cylinder which does - the trouble with the T5702 is that its 1700 watt motor is noisy but the suction is fantastic. Using the Telios is easy; the telescopic tubes are a breeze to use and try and look for these unless you buy a reconditioned machine which use Hoover's silly chrome tubes - they are impossible to remove and defeats the purpose of Hoover's cylinder somewhat. The best advantage of buying any Telios is the fact that the bags hold 4 litres of dust, are resealeable and now bags are being made by copy companies at the third of cost. Hoover also produce the H30 permanent bag which can be fitted to ANY Telios and costs around £10 to £15. Moving with the Telios is brilliant too - at 5kg it is hardly heavy and carrying up the stairs is no problem with the Telios, or sitting in the upright position to clean stairs. Three tools also fit behind the tool door and these consist of: crevice tool, upholstery brush and a flat tool which we use for cleaning the stairs. The Telios also has a great tendency to come with a long power lead and on our T5702 there is 7metres of cord which for Hoover is quite generous. The only downside to the latest Telios models is the fact that they come with HEPA filters and this reduces suction by 25%. Bags are available Rating:
