We bought Hoover unit approx 15 months ago and was suitably impressed by the tremendous suction and cleaning ability. All of a sudden it refuses to work more than a few moments and appears to be overheating as if blocked. On dismantling and cleaning to remove any possible blockages, it continued to die. I then dismantled it completely until only the suction motor was running and removed the cylinder and all the filters . No change. It still dies after a few mins. The motor gets very hot and the thermostat for the main motor must be doing its job but now its not useable as a vacuum. Other reviews indicate an overheating problem also. Buyers beware.

We have had it for about 18 months. It was bought initially because we had a hairy dog and needed a heavy duty hoover however the dog has died and we have mainly laminated floors so we do not have heavy duty usage anymore. I found it heavy and awkward to drag up stairs. Part of the plastic that kept the hose in place broke off so the heavy hose falls off constantly. It continually overheats and cuts out and cant be used till it cools down. The catch has broken off the waste cylinder so we have had to put a piece of elastic on it to keep it in place. The recoil cable often doesn't work. I would not recommend this to anyone.
