Reviewed by Roisin on 08/09/2007 Roisin - Ireland Having read the two reviews below, I concur, NEVER PURCHASE ONE OF THESE. Having always purchased Hoover brands in the past, I will never do so again based on my experiences with this model. This model is incapable of dust removal on any carpeted area of the house Rating:
Reviewed by D.Stanton on 24/03/2006 Bought (& Returned) a similar model, the 1900 watt version. These comments apply to all "Dust Manager" Hoover range.DON'T BUY!. They are fundamentally flawed in that the main dust filter inside the bin is right in the way of the entering dust / dirt and immediately chokes up before hardly any dirt can get to the bin. This drastically reduces the
suction, overheats the motor if ignored, and can happen after only a minute of use on hoovering only an averagely dirty house (ie with kids and a dog). Hair and fluff are the worst, and wrap around this filter. It is also very dirty and awkward to empty, having to crack the bin in half to empty and get at the filter. Excellent suction when filter clean, and good tools arrangement. This is NOT a true vortex style vacuum cleaner. Hoover
engineer differentiated between "Cylonic", which this Hoover is advertised
as, and "Vortex" al la Dyson! Lost on me. Hoover to their credit, when told not fit for purpose, immediately issued a returns number and arranged full refund. Excellent Customer Service, just a poor product. Rating:
Reviewed by pat parkes on 18/03/2006 this id by far the worst hoover i have ever brought. i hava always brought hoover but never again. i have two cats and a german shepherd dog and due to the filter inside the dust collection box i am having to empty it every time i use it. the hairs collect around the filter and the hoover looses suction. i then have to unblock the filter which means the front off the hoover opening the dust collection unit and removing the filter. i hoover every day to keep the animal hair to a minimum. i dont have a huge house but i am a busy person and to have to keep stopping to empty is very annoying. i dread to think how it will cope when my dog has a full blown malt.
