Reviewed by annon on 05/03/2008This is an awful product. It cuts out after 10 or so mins of use due to an overheated motor. I have had the Hoover guy out twice now and he has confirmed this is the problem and they are prone to blockages. He said that this is due to a poor design and Hoover trying to rush out a product to compete with Dyson. Apparently I have to get the Hoover guy out for a third time before I can start the long and probably traumatic process of getting my money back from Comet. This third visit is a waste of my time and the engineer's as we know he cannot fix the problem. When he comes round the vacuum will work so I will get him to do my hoovering for 10 or so minutes and then it will cut out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AND DO NOT BUY FROM COMET. Rear wheels replaced,motor casing trunnion carrier has broken rendering the m/c virtually useless, the motor looses power for no reason and the turbo brush is worse than useless!This product may be suitable for very light use but in my experience not for the average pet owning household. Rating: Reviewed by Clare, Coventry on 04/12/2007 I don't think I'd even give it a 1* if I had a choice! Don't waste your money on this product. I have a labrador dog that tends to moult most of the year and so I use my vacuum cleaner most days. Using this hoover however I cannot clean the whole of my house without having to empty the small dust container about 4 - 5 times. Bearing in mind you are supposed to clean the filter after 5 empties and then leave it to dry for about 24 hours that puts the machine out of action every 2nd or third day!!! It also tends to topple over when you use the tools and the electric cord is not long enough. I hate it with a passion! Rating:
