Reviewed by Avril Hayes on 28/11/2007 How do these manufacturers get away with it (and do they use their own products?) Made the foolish mistake of buying another Dyson. I never will again. Mine has finally burnt out in a cloud of smoke and I am relieved that I no longer have to put up with its bad design and I can try another brand. The telescopic handle had a life of its own and refused to stick at any chosen height and would often collapse. Could take up to 8 attempts to get it to stay extended at all. Turbo brush tangled and blocked easily. Eventually stopped picking up dirt - I had to go over same patch of carpet constantly and then resort to using the nozzle to clean carpet. Turbo brush connector broke so had to tape it onto handle. After about 6 months pickup was dismal and always cleaning filters. I bought an extra filter just to have a spare dry one! It was noisy and heavy to move around always bumping paint of door frames etc. Hose not stretchy enough to go up the stairs easily the cylinder would tip backwards and choke up the vacuum. I would have to walk up carrying the (heavy) cylindar and vacuum at the same time. Not impressed Dyson (at all) Rating:
