Same experience after using combo grill/microwave for jacket potatoes the microwave has stopped working for the third time. Twice fixed and Panasonic paid for the parts I just paid about 20 - 30 quid for labour but don't think a third time will be allowed! Great shame, good product had a good few years about 6 or 7 so not bad I suppose. Which one to buy now another Panasonic???? Anybody got any ideas please? Really miss my microwave :-(

This was at the time Panasonic's top of the range (as far as i could tell). The microwave combo worked well initially and the oven has served me very well for the past 4-5 years. Unfortunately while using the grill the microwave broke 18months from new and the plastic door is now cracked from not being able to cope with the daily use as an oven. I guess 5years is reasonable usage for an item such as this however for the price i expected it to be more robust. It does cook food very well and i am in the process of looking for a new one, i dare say i will get another Panasonic due to their capabilities and looks.
