this machine could be dangerous. all the grill/oven functions default to "off" after the timing device ends. but, the microwave function retains its previous selection unless you intervene to turn it off. this means that if you select, say, the oven, it is possible that you get both oven AND microwave together unless you remember to turn off the microwave function. I have argued with miele that thisis potentially dangerous having set baked potatoes on fire and filled the kitchen with smoke. There should be a safety interlock that zeroes out all previous functions between operations, and that forces the user to make positive selections each time. miele have been too arrogant to even acknowledge that I have a point. I have an all miele household, but my confidence in their products is shaken.
