Bought December 2007 for £34-99 @ electricshopping.com. Quiet boil is very quiet - can easily listen to the radio over it, and electronic whistle can be turned off. A bit slow to switch off on boiling. Internal illumination is bright enough but not obtrusive. Easy to use on/off switch and lid release. Looks good. Capacity markings in cups - I would prefer litres.

Bought on 28.11.07 for £29.99 @ Argos. Not too impressed with internal illumination,a bit too dim. Quiet Boil not all that great,but better than than some makes. Nice weight when full & compact size. Electronic whistle can be turned off on base stand. Easy to fill. 2yr warranty included. Overall 3 to 4 star rating.
