ELEMENT BLEW IN 10 MONTHS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH, NO SPARES POSSIBLE. OVER 1£ A WEEK FOR A KETTLE, DISGUSTING

yet another disgruntled customer - less than 2 yrs & hey presto - element breaks! Can't be serviced.

I've had this kettle for about 12 months, the element has just blown, was looking to see if I could get it repaired or was even tempted to get another one as like it soo much but thanks to all the information everyone else has left, I'll save myself some time and money and buy another brand of kettle. Very disappointing.

i paid closer to £80 pounds for this kettle thinking it was high quality. it gave up in under 2 years. after reading other reviews on this i.e, too expensive for parts , element not available separate etc, i am very unimpressed with breville, will write to them & see what they have to say.

I thought this would be a quality item as it cost a penny under £50 but the element went after less than two years' use in a careful two-person household. From what I've gathered from reviews the kettle doesn't appear to be repairable as the element is bonded to the stainless base of the unit. What a waste. Won't buy Breville again. Avoid. Phil

As this was their premium collection expected good things - Looks great - lights up on water. Like everyone else element blew after about 14months - too expensive to repair. Went and bought another brand - stay well clear

Our kettle failed after one year. The switch and contact design is fundamentally flawed. I bet they will all fail after a year or so - if indeed they last that long. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Paid £50 expecting it to last, ours lasted 18 months, the element blew, wrote to Breville who said it would be too expensive to repair! They offered me a new one for £35, not worth £35!

We have had two of these kettles. The switched failed on both: the first after just 1 month, the second after a year. Very expensive kettle - you expect better quality than this - rubbish!

Lasted just over the year, elementb has blown, no spares are available, and this for a kettle just under £50. Do not buy.

Ours lasted just under a year. The element blew. Very expensive and should last a lot longer.
