Loved the hob when it was working, but 2 years after installation stopped working and took 3 weeks and several visits by Hotpoint engineers to resolve the problem. Another 3 years later, stopped again. Very expensive call out charges for inspection and repair! Have lost confidence in Hotpoint and will not buy a product from them again. Would not recommend this for reliability reasons.

Fantastic. Better than gas. So controllable, and cleaning is a doddle. Didn't think I would be so impressed when we came here to live, but now I wouldn't have anything else.

I got one of these about 3 years ago when it first came out and I love it. If you cant have gas then this is the product for you. It turns up and down very rapidly, If youve had the old style electric hobs before and burnt every-thing on it....you will love this, no more 15 min cool down to the correct temp, its as quick as gas. If your going to get new pans remember that they only work with steel ones, I use Ikea pans on mine and they fit perfectly round the spaces on the hob top. And the one thing that you will really make your heart skip a beat......it takes 2 seconds to clean with a wet cloth. Mine still looks brand new.

Nothing but trouble since the day we got it! Hotpoint engineer came out 2 days after we had it installed and had to change the brains in it, 2 weeks later it went again, brains changed again! Since then making funny noises and has just blown. Don't buy!!!
