Reviewed by Brian on 07-09-2005 At first, we cursed this thing up and down. It burnt our first attempts at cooking burgers, and was a NIGHTMARE to clean. Then, after a bit of research we discovered that maybe putting big thick frozen burgers on it was not a good idea. Like all things, a little common sense prevailed and now we find it invaluable. Now, the cleaning. The tip is simply to let it cool slightly, and then CAREFULLY use a wet sponge on it. (Remember it's still quite hot) It's then very easy to clean. Also, although I don't think it was meant to be used this way, it makes brilliant toasted sandwiches. Simply switch it on with a 5 minute preheat, (at max) and prepare your sandwich (the same way you would for a normal sandwich maker) There is no need to butter the outside of the bread. Place on the grill and close the lid with a little downward pressure to squeeze the bread together, set timer for 4 or 5 minutes and job done. Rating:
