Reviewed by Mark on 18/01/2009This works great for several months, then the green plastic clips that hold the plates in will melt, you will just about be able to manage with that, but then a few months later it will no longer be no-stick and you will end up trying to rescue the bread with a knife, Don't bother, I expected better from Breville Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Anne on 28/06/2008 Agree with Daren: Our twenty-five year old Breville sandwich toaster went bang last week and we bought the replacement TR52 from Argos. Today, I tried to make our favourite snack - Marks and Spencer chunky chicken in a toasted sandwich. It used to be delicious - crisp on the outside with lots of chicken in cream sauce sealed in a deep triangle. With the old version, a small tin was exactly right. My complaints about the TR52 are: The cooking plates are too shallow and so very little filling can be used, resulting in a very dry, unsatisfactory sandwich. The 'cut' of 'cut and seal' didn't work. The sandwich was not crisp. In short, the new Sandwich Toaster is useless - I will give it away if I can and try to get the old Sandwich Toaster mended. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Darren on 17/05/2008 Had an old Breville Toaster which was brilliant but this fused and needed replacing, but this was a poor choice, as it doesn't toast the bread. It just makes a soggy hot sandwich. Rating: ![]()
