Reviewed by J cooke on 06/10/2011 bottom plastic tray broken, very flimsy. biggest problem is the whole door seemed to 'drop' and the seal no longer fits together at the top of the fridge resulting in water leaking on the floor. hotpoint won't take responsibility for this obvious manufacturing problem. Reviewed by lee on 08/11/2008 The quote from hotpoint would have been 99.98(inc all parts needed and labour) with 12 months gaurentee on the compressor/parts fitted and a 15 day full appliance gaurentee.. if u live within the m25 add an extra tenner to the bill...a third of the price i may add of the independant guy.this fault could readily happen with any make of appliance to be fair! Reviewed by Mr C Kay on 12/09/2008 This is a slightly bigger version of their RLA64 which after 14 months broke down(two months after the end of the guarentee expired; note: don't bother to look at the 5 year parts guarentee as the get you on the labour charges). The compressor went and the cheapest quote to repair was £105 with no guarentee or £160 with a 12 month guarentee (from hotpoint). An independant serviceman quoted £300. So now looking to buy another fridge, anything but Hotpoint ! Rating:
