The machine broke down after 6 weeks - on a Friday. The motherboard had gone - therefore no power to any of the machine. Zanussi were unable to get an engineer there on Saturday - which in the case of freezers it is imperative to get it repaired quickly. The engineer was booked for the Monday between 8 and 1 - he still had not arrived by 1, so we called the service centre to be told that he was running late and would not be there until 2.30. He had still not arrived by 3.30 upon calling again we were told he was on his way, but not time of arrival was offered! He finally came at 3.45, looked at the machine, gave his diagnosis, said he did not have the part on the van, upon being pressed, it transpired that it would not be available for fitting until the following Monday!! Needless to say, we requested that the machine be written off, and a replacement sent, Zanussi were unable to comply with this request, because they did not have any replacements in the country until late November. Not impressed with either the machine or the customer service
