Reviewed by Laura Porter on 11/08/2011We have owned this product for 3 years, after it was out of warranty (1 year) it made some pretty bad noises which stopped after about 2 days and all seemed fine. Over the last 6 months however we have noticed ice build up on the outside and the same inside. This seems to build up and defrost again into a messy pool at the bottom of the fridge compartment on a daily basis! Also thermostat in fridge appears not to work - even on 6 it never really gets really really cold. Very disapointed and annoyed that we have to put up with it until we can buy a new one. Unlikely to get it fixed for less than £100 so it doesnt seem worth it judging by other peoples experiences above. Dont reccomend this product or zanussi at all! This company's products appear to have serious poor quality issues!! NEVER ever experienced this prob with any Hotpoints or 20 year old Electrolux!! Didn't receive good standard of customer after-care from the manufacturer either. So...I shall vote with my wallet...NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A ZANUSSI PRODUCT!! Rating: Reviewed by rufus on 06/11/2010 excelent bit of kit. kept cold things cold and frozen things frozen. the handy doors on both compartments allowed ease of access and zanussi have added a clever light function for the fridge bit that comes on when you open the door. not sure how it works, probbably a microchip circuit. or something. i'd reccommend this item to anyone who needed to keep food and drink cold. Rating: Reviewed by AMC on 23/11/2009 2 weeks before the 12 month warranty expired, some sort of sensor on the self defrosting electronics failed. As always, had to wasit in ALL day for the Comet engineer to turn up. He then had to order the part, and the following week I had another day at home waiting for him to return. Unit worked fine after that. For 7 months!! The same fault has cropped up again, so I am off to argue with Comet/Zanussi, as it is now out of warranty. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE!!
