I had to write a review of this fridge freezer as my experience of it was so awful. Initially, I was disappointed in the quality of the fridge - it looks like it is made of steel but really it's like a cheap thin plastic. The shelves are fragile and the salad box is thin and flimsy. The fridge broke down within a week and a Smeg engineer was called to fix it. He diagnosed the problem as an electrical one and ordered the parts. The parts took 2 weeks to arrive and then another engineer came to fit them but he said there was something else wrong with it. More parts were ordered and I had to wait again for them to arrive. A 3rd engineer arrived to fit these parts and he accidently cracked part of the freezer box - but this demonstrated to me the lack of quality of the fridge as he had not been heavy handed. He then found that the condenser had also broken and the engineer advised me to send the fridge back. He also admitted that he has found similar problems with the same model elsewhere.
