Had two for several years. One has been a real problem - cuts out intermittently and despite three attempts to get it fixed absolutely no improvement. Every day we switch it off to get it to go again, and I have relegated it to be a "drinks" fridge where it can do no harm. The other works OK but I still rate it "poor" because it has wasted hours of our time and a lot of call-out charges to find that the fault is intermittent but totally persistent in recurring. Shame, love the ice cube making facility.

Owned this model since 2001. It broke down twice early on - both times repaired under warranty. It's had 3 lamps, which aren't exactly cheap either. Recently it's started to ice up in the freezer compartment and the fridge doesn't appear to be as cold as it should be. Looking to replace it with a Bosch model as I really can't be bothered to get it fixed again, for it to fail once more. Eight years service probably isn't too bad, but it cost £450 at the time, and our old Indesit F/freezer is still going strong in the garage after 17 years. Wouldn't recommend this make for sure.

I purchased this fridge 6 years ago and have had no problems at all. The construction is sound and does not have a flimsy plastic feal. Every component is high quality. Features like the quick freeze ice maker, door alarm and the fantastic white light lamp make this a great value purchase. Only negative side is that only recently there is a problem with the electronic controller. These parts contained in the facia panel are not available - even from Samsung. But hey, it's had a good run and I would definately buy Samsung again.

Intermittent fault. Food freezes in the fridge, then defrosts and decays. This seems to be more apparent when the fridge is full. Engineer has attempted repair but the fault remains.
