Reviewed by David Sexton on 07/01/2010 I bought 5 of these units for my student houses - exactly the same problem as outlined below. I have had a total of 15 service calls in the last two years and have swapped one of the units out for a spare from a different manufacturer. I have spoken to Indesit and they insist there is no problem. Stay well clear of this product. And Indesit! Rating:
Reviewed by JS on 30/12/2009 Don't buy it! Have had the problems already mentioned with the fridge and now the freezer has packed up. Rating:
Reviewed by martyn jones on 02/06/2009 I forgot to add; while defrosting, push some blue tack into the drain hole to avoid over filling the evaporation reseviour obove the compressor at the rear of the fridge. Rating:
Reviewed by martyn jones on 09/05/2009 This fridge/freezer has a design flaw which can be fixed without the need of an engineer. If you find that your freezer is working fine, but your fridge is too warm; remove the freezer drawers and allow the freezer to defrost for 24 hours or more , leaving the freezer door open. The fridge cools via a fan behind the freezer compartment blowing the cold air into the fridge. If the air flow is blocked, the fridge remains warm. If the fan itself is not working, a replacement fan can be purchased from indesit online and easily fitted. Rating:
Reviewed by colin barker on 23/06/2008 we had problems with ice forming in back of unit causing fridge to overheat, three visits from engineer solved this problem.now we have problem with salad freezing in salad drawer whilst milk etc goes off higher up in fridge.i have recorded temp in fridge as follows.salad drawer -0.25 centre of fridge 8 top shelf 12 is this a design fault. waiting for fourth engineer to visit for this problem alone fridge model ban13nf is only 6 months old, have had to throw away loads of food Rating:
Reviewed by Karl P on 18/06/2007 The model has problems with the refrigeration, causing blocks of ice to form, stopping the air from flowing and resulting in overheating. Within 9 months of purchasing this Fridge/Freezer, an Indesit engineer has come out twice to fix the same problem! Surely a design a fault!? Searching the internet I have found that other customers have also experienced the same problem! Rating:
