When we first received it the thermostat wasn't working properly,customer service told us to keep thermostat on low for a while. We kept the thermostat on low for 2 years then it packed up altogether. Sorry I didn't buy from reputable firm. Also very rusty after 2 years of careful cleaning. STAY AWAY FROM ALL INDESIT PRODUCTS! Rating:   Reviewed by kate on 05/08/2010 The rating is still too high at 1. The first one del had to be changed as the motor ran for 4 days without turning off. The store said it was normal but I knew it wasnt. The exchange one did the same for two days. rang customer service (call centre) they said monitor it for 4 days and turn the thermostats down. Monitered for 8hs it was running for 5hrs and off for 3hs. Still struggling with customer service and the store they still say its seems normal. DONT TOUCH IT. Rating: Reviewed by albytwelly on 11/11/2009 After only 3 years this fridge freezer has given up the ghost. The freezer doesn't work at all and the fridge is not cold enough to keep food safely. The cost of a repair is so expensive that it's hardly worth it, I might as well buy a new fridge that I can ill afford. Remember the days when fridge freezers were still going strong after 10 years! You definitely get what you pay for, stay away from these fridges, pay that little bit extra for a decent brand. Also forgot to mention the rust on the inside panels appeared very quickly after only about 6 months. Even during its short life it never performed well at all icing up in the fridge and creating pools of water. In fact STAY CLEAR OF INDESIT ALL TOGETHER!!! just had a washer pack up as well Rating: Reviewed by Kalps on 13/05/2008 I got this from Sainsbury's Kitchen App's and have been quite happy with it. Had it for almost a year and all is good - main reason for purchasing was the fact it only consumed 259 kw energy per year wich is as good as you'll get for a fridge this size and for under £250. defrosted once in that period and since that all still working and freezing ok. they also do a frost free version of this for a little more that consumes 312 kw energy - if you think about it if you get 8 years out of the fridge then you've consumed an extra year or so's worth of electricity if you opt for the frost free version - just for the sake of not defrosting the fridge.
