was given this hoover as a replacement to a previous hoover. It died within 4 months. appaling follow up (kept sending people to fix it who arrived and then declared that they were only qualified to diagnose and not to fix it; or engineers who claimed they had fixed it and hadnt managed to....even had to lend my tool box to one engineer who didnt have right tools to do one of teh attempted repairs). the engineers wouldnt write it off claiming they'd be sacked by hoover for admitting they couldnt fix it; hoover customer services refused to write it off as irrepairable saying that only the engineers could write it off. Very rude customer service. had to take 5 days off work so they could send people to try and repair it and refused to compensate me for lose of earnings due to consequential loss (they said that my taking time off work was not a consequence of the fridge breaking down....dont understand that logic as I had to take time off so they could get in and servi ce it!). Thankfully the shop I had bought it off intervened on my behalf and is replacing it with a different make. The owner told me that she has had loads of complaints recently about hoover fridge freezers made in the last 12 months. A number of other dissatisfied friends have also come out of the woodwork recently...all of who (5) had had similar problems with other hoover fridge freezers Do not touch this product with a barge pole. I wouldnt even take it if it was free ....the amount of wasted time and stress it has caused me!
