Reviewed by Tamsil on 21/06/2011Never ever buy a bekko fridge/freezer what ever the model mine broke about 3 months ago and we had to buy a new one as it stopped working and it was all black at the back where it had burnt today I recieved a letter from bekko saying there was a problem with them overheating that would of been great if we had received the letter 3 months ago and saved us a fortune on a new fridge/freezer. What did bekko say when phone them nothing they can do. I am one costumer who will never get another product from them again. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by bill on 16/02/2011 same as.only 12 months after buying the freezer back panel all frozen up and does not freeze food properly. i would never buy one of these again Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Dee Myton on 22/01/2011 13 months after purchase my fridge freezer made some strange noises and switched itself off. Ice was forming on the back like others have complained. I actually took the entire inside back panel off to see what was wrong, and it was completely covered in ice top to bottom. I was just outside the warrentty (as always) and got a guy to have a look who said it needed a new compressor, probably cheaper to buy a new unit he said. The freezer wasnt efficient and the fridge began to freeze things like cucumbers and lettuce. After two days suddenly the unit (which I hadnt unplugged) came back on again then worked like new!! Obviously the frost free system does not work but if like me you cant afford a new one just defrost thoroughly every 3/4 months not forgetting to drain the water from the tray at the back, and it works like new (well mine does)Ive been doing this for over a year now. An inconvenience yes but give it a try before you splash out for a new model.... not a Beko though :-D good luck. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Jasper on 18/12/2010 Bought 10 Beko Fridges for 10 flats in January 09. Beko replaced one in the first year as the compressor packed up and Beko couldn't repair it.Two more fridges packed up after 18 months which I have replaced but not with Beko. We have regular complaints from our tenants that ice keeps forming on the back panel in the freezer and the fridge stops cooling then have to thaw it out . This is an inconvenience as a second fridge needs to be found to hold the food while the fridge is thawed. Do not buy this model. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Kevin on 24/11/2010 Noted the same problem with our fridge - auto defrost function is rubbish. Stay away from this one. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Jane on 23/06/2010 I bought this fridge/freezer mainly because its auto-defrost function and the layout of the draws/shelfs. Repaired once on faulty auto-defrost unit. Now it's packed up again. The freezer keeps defrost and re-freeze, all the ice cubes and ice creams turned into water. It's only 2 years since we bought it,but looking like it's on its last leg. Never buy Beko again. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Emma on 26/04/2010 I wish I could give this product 0 stars, 1 is being generous. It's noisey (when it's even working), the engineer I had round was plain rude and insisted on calling me 'Love' and 'Dear' - I'm 29 not 92, and even if I was 92 I probably wouldn't apreciate it! I lost over £200 worth of food which I then had to claim on my home insurance and lost my no claims discount and I'm still waiting for the part. No fridge for at least 2 weeks, fantastic customer servives or what! Avoid this product, it's about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Mike on 14/11/2009 This sounds disgusting!! Purchased a beko product and 1 month after warranty finished - now not working! Would be interested in any BEKO feedback but doubt we will all get it! Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Bill South on 30/06/2009 Our one is 18months old from currys, we had an engineer out in the first year but he could not find a fault, we are now in a position after only 18 months of having to buy a new one as ice keeps forming on the back panel in the freezer and we then have to thaw it out, which is not why we bought a frost free/freezer, we bought it so that we didn't have to mess about with towels on the floor. Never ever buy one of these because you will have problems. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by thomas on 08/06/2009 dont waste your time buying a beko fridge /freezer after ten months mine broke down it took beko three weeks to replace speaking to currys deliver driver he told me that they pick up at app 2 units a week that are faultly most are just under or just over a year old Rating: ![]() Reviewed by Theny on 28/05/2009 Terrible. Just within 1 month of the 12 month warranty expiring the freezer packs up! Having seen a lot of reviews of Beko products it looks like an intended fault!!! Shamefull. Best to pay a bit more for a good make and get 5 year guarantee as you do at John Lewis. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by angela on 15/06/2008 do not buy beko fridge freezer. bought one august 07 compressor packed in after 3 months had to wait nearly week and a half for engineer to come out. when he did arrive he told us the problem before he walked in the door but that he did not have the part because he had had a run of the same problem in the last few days. he then couldnt return until almost a week later. thank goodness job finally done. june o8 fridge freezer has stopped working again see what happens this time. Rating: ![]() Reviewed by matthew smith on 11/12/2007 just five months out of warranty and we are having to buy a new fridge/freezer! our replacement wont be a beko... Rating: ![]()
