Reviewed by A Smart on 27/10/2011 11 months after purchasing beko AB910 fridge freezer had the same problem with ice at bottom of freezer. Engineer came out and fitted new defrost heater (took about 2 weeks). All ok until last week when I spotted ice build up again, engineer came out and diagnosed defrost channel hole blocked - he spent an hour unblocking it with my hairdryer and charged £100. Now mysterious flashing of E0 on front display and nothing in instruction book to say what it means!!! After reading all reviews on this make and model am now very worried. Will not buy beko products again. Rating:
Reviewed by A Carlton on 17/07/2011 I purchased a beko AB10 fridge freezer in December 2009 and in June 2011 it has started to ice up at the bottom of the freezer drawer and leak. There is absolutely nothing about this in the manual so I have checked online and see it is quite a common problem. At the moment, we are having to break up ice every week and remove it,otherwise we have a leak all over the kitchen floor. Definately won't buy beko again, cost £600 and problems within 18 months of purchase Rating:
Reviewed by kelly malone on 31/08/2010 bought my beko ab910 model fridge freezer, had it nearly 2 yrs its been flashing EO for months now, thought it was to do with the defrosting thing, not its constantly flashing EO and called beko and got told it was the freezer sensor and had to pay a call out charge of £60 to find out what was wrong and then on top of that a part and repair charge, not good for a big american f/f not even lasting over a yr old, i will never buy again, you would think with these reveiws and things they would try make the model better, after having to spend out over a grand in buying it....not impressed one bit. Reviewed by Jenni Wyatt on 21/04/2010 Having read these reviews I wish I had seen them before I purchased. Bought my product in 2007 and all seemed fine, then middle of last year it started to flash up with the error code e0, to start with I thought that it was just to do with the auto defrost, then it started to defrost the food, as it was out of warranty I ended up having to pay for an extended warranty. I had an engineer out who changed one of the sensors. He said that it might not be the solution but the error message seemed to stop so thought it was ok although it didnt seem to be freezing properly. Then the error message started again at the begining of March so I have had another engineer out who has said it is the compressor. Having now waited 2 weeks I have been told they dont have any in stock and they dont know when they will get any. I will be contacting trading standards with regards to sales of goods act and fit for purpose as in my opinion this product doesnt meet these standards. Rating:
Reviewed by John Hammond on 06/04/2009 I also have just looked at the reviews on the Beko AB91o as I have just had an error light come on. It is the E4 light which is not as all others explained in the manual. I can now see by the below it is a Defrost heater error. We have only had it for just over a year and the warranty has run out. It must be on a timer! Before this it was a good fridge. I don't know if I have to worry about the problem or not as the freezer is still cold. We noticed last week that the fridge was not very cold and discovered we had a huge ice build up in the back of the freezer. It took 2 days to defrost with help from a fan heater. Rating:
Reviewed by David Frost on 11/01/2009 I've just started looking at the reviews on the Beko AB910 because I have just started with problems. Typically when it is now 13 months old and just out of warranty. My problem is the flashing warning light on the front of the freezer section. I am getting the error code E0. I have found out what warnign codes may appear and what the cause of the error codes are and these are as follows : EO : Freezer compartment sensor error (Short circuit or open) E1 : Evaporator Sensor error (Short circuit or open) E3 : Larder compartment error (Short circuit or open) E4 : Defrost heater error E5 : Eeprom error My guess is, for my particular problem, that I need a new Freezer compartment sensor. Reviewed by S St.John on 21/01/2008 Great while it worked. Delivered 3rd Sep 2007 and saw warning light in December 2007. Manual states this is normal for up to 12 hours. Warning still there two days later and food in freezer is beginning to be less frozen. Called Beko (21st Dec 2007) who in turn contacted their engineering company. Told the earliest date for an engineer to come out is 7th Jan 2008. He arrived 4 hours later than his estimate and was not sure what the problem could be but he would order a replacement compressor. Compressor arrives by post 14th Jan 2008 but earliest date for an engineer to come is (date of writing this review) 21st Jan 2007. Telephoned to ask when to expect the engineer and have been told there is no engineer available. We have now been without a working fridge/freezer for 31 days. Telephoned Beko and after a wait of many minutes I was informed that Beko is considering what to do. I bought the product from Currys and their representative has stated that a replacement or alternative product will be arranged as soon as Beko release a returns number. Rating:
Reviewed by L Young on 04/01/2008 i brought this fridge freezer in July, it has loads of room and is basically value for money.......but mine has completely broken down. On christmas eve nothing in the fridge was cold, but the freezer was ok. It was too late to save all my chritmas food, so we had to throw it all away. Beko sent out and engineer on friday 28th Dec, he walked in had a look and walked out!! He said he could not fix it and would send someone else. The other guy arrived on monday 31st, he done a few bits and de-iced the freezer, defrosting all our frozen food. The fridge seemed to work.....so we thought great. The next morning we woke up and everything in the frdge was frozen!!! So we had to wait until after new years day to get the engineer back. He came back on 3rd Jan 08, has ordered some parts, when they arrive he will be back, said it could be 2 days or a week. So we are still waiting after nearly 2 weeks without a fridge or freezer. The aftercare seems to be pretty poor and no off er of a fridge to replace the faulty appliance or any offer of compensation, we found Beko very unhelpful. I would have hoped the appliance lasted a little longer than 5 months before it broke down. Rating:
