Periodic problems when first purchased, e.g. door wouldn't close, controls occasionally wouldn't operate. Now two years later it has completely packed up. It is simply too expensive and too much of a hassle to get it repaired. As a result I've reverted to buying a Bosch- my last one ran satisfactorily for more 18 years. My advice is don't touch Smeg products. Their reputation is over hyped.
