Reviewed by andy p on 10/04/2011 v.poor from virtually the beginning of its life had problems, now smells of burning plastic.had the engineer out many times - would not touch hotpoint with a bargepole - very very unreliable and prone to breakdown - choose something else don't waste your money Rating:
Reviewed by Grace Future on 07/09/2010 AVOID! Mediocre performance, noisy, constant error code after just moving it which won't re-set........... Rating:
Reviewed by Toadjuggler on 13/04/2010 One month, al10 error. Two months, al10 error. Four months...........I'm sure you get the picture. Rating:
Reviewed by Brian on 21/02/2010 A10 code flashing after 4 years. Hotpoint want £104 for call out. Will bin and buy new. But it wont be a Hotpoint. Last dishwasher before Hotpoint, AEG lasted 15 years. Rating:
Reviewed by Marc on 01/02/2010 Broke down after about year (not long after warranty expired). Stopped working shortly into cycle and had error code A10 flashing. This could normally be reset but now it is stuck on the error code. Engineer will cost a minimum of £75. Very poor. Rating:

Reviewed by Helen Dobson on 03/06/2008 I have had a FDW70 for 14 months (2 months out of warranty!!)and it has just blown up creating a burning smell and blowing the fuse. Hotpoint want £89.95 to make a visit to see if it can be fixed or £159 for a visit and 1yr guarantee. Surely a dishwasher should last longer than 14months when used only once a day washing rinsed plates!! I am going to buy a new dishwasher and give Hotpoint a wide berth from here on in. Rating:
Reviewed by Jenny Foster on 05/09/2007 The dishwahser has a chip fault and keeps reverting to AL10 and stops washing. I have reset this time and time again but the machine does not even wash properly now. I liked Hot point appliances. Years ago they where the best on the market but their standards have slipped dramatically. Rating:
Reviewed by Mr & Mrs Elston on 30/03/2007 DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL: Facts speak for themselves - we have a 3 yr old model & we have had 7 faults during that time & 1 continuous alarm which you clear by opening & closing the door. Always leave sludge & muck on the inside of the door regardless of how full or empty or how loaded. Hotpoint want either £13.90/mth (£166.80 pa) or charge a callout fee of £89.98 per callout. Value for money - no. Not recommended. Rating:
Reviewed by Matt 4 on 28/01/2007 Its awfull..... broke down in first 3 months, kept getting error messages.Poor service back up, Will not buy hotpoint again!!!! Rating:
