What we've been missing: our first dishwasher ever, after Ruby wedding anniversary! Brilliant to have for Darby & Joan - just one programme per day with perhaps one or two items to do by hand. The time we could have saved over these last 40 years ... We have learned to fit more and more in with each wash - heeding diagram in machine guidelines - excellent results each time using recommended "Classic Finish Powerball" 'tablets' only - no salt or rinse aid required with our soft water. Roasting pans in with ordinary cycle: cleaner than being washed in the sink with moderate efforts. Absolutely no pre-rinsing or rinse cycle required what-so-ever, even if items are left in machine for 30 hours before starting main wash programme. No visible panel during wash cycles but 'state of play' can be judged by sound and timing. After 10 days we are very comfortable with it - and don't require the extra sets of china/cutlery which I had thought would be necessary... Many thanks to Bosch and John Lewis.
