Reviewed by Mrs Thomas on 19/11/2007Almost forgot after my review, we initially bought our first dishwasher through Argos who said we had to get in touch with the manufacturer Baumatic who eventually replaced the machine,now after 3 replacements we tried then to obtain our original purchase price back only to be told Argos was where you bought it thats where you get your money back, Argos told us because we dealt with the manufacturer (under their instructions I might add) they have to replace or refund the money. The trading standards response is they have no test case to prove either company at fault and we have no chance of receiving any money from either of them,. Can anyone out there help us or any ideas as it seems the public have no rights! We are told they can keep repairing or replace the machines, unfair as we have no confidence in Baumatics products. Rating:   Reviewed by Mrs Thomas on 18/11/2007 This brand of dishwasher is a joke, Baumatic are supposed to be one of the top brands, all you get from the products are problem after problem, they offer to replace them with a better model, they work fine for maybe a couple of months then they start going wrong. Would deffinately not reccomend baumatic to anyone unless you like to go back to the old fashioned way of washing by hand but then maybe you would be better off because you can clean the dishes a lot better than using a Baumatic! Rating: Reviewed by Bill Brand on 12/10/2007 We purchased from sainsburys appliances and took delivery of the first one which was damaged. This was replaced a week later and we found the unit does not do what it says on the box. It will not take our 14 place setting service of Denbyware and some of the bowls don't fit and some of the day to day plates we use do not fit properly. It leaves remnants of food in the bottom and under the door. The programmes are extremely long and don't seem very energy efficient. The dishes do not come out clean on the Eco wash. To get large plates in you have to raise the top basket which then hits the upper spray nozzle when you close the basket. The hinge is not square. All in all we are very disappointed with this dishwasher especially at that price. We decided on this one instead of the Whirlpool model which we had before for nearly 15 years with very little trouble. After this we would definitely think twice about a Baumatic appliance again and would recommend the Whirlpool AP8000Ix instead. Rating:
